“Disappointing Start – Couldn’t Connect”

I didn’t enjoy the first few pages of the story, and unfortunately, I couldn’t connect with the characters or the overall development of the plot. It just didn’t draw me in, and I found it hard to stay engaged. The author tries too hard to write in a literary, classic style, but it comes off as overly pretentious and hard to enjoy. This one wasn’t for me.

I definitely think the book is worth to read o listen

Who was your favorite character and why?

The best character is Jack although not very real ( Nobody is this handsome, this charming this clever and this sweet)

What does Aimée Bruneau bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

I didn't like the performance very much. The Southern accent is too exaggerated and too slow for my taste.

What would have made For You better?

The story is too complicated. I didn't like the plot, nor the characters.They are so happy while everybody is dying all around them and it takes them 15 years to talk to each other although they are soul mates. Actually I didn't like the book at all.

What could Kristen Ashley have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?

Characters are too unreal. So, better characters. The story is too complicated. So, a better plot.

What do you think the narrator could have done better?

I don't really know . Too many voices.

Too many to pick one.

I don't think I will read any other book of the same author.
