this book wraps it all up in fine fashion! it's been quite the journey to get here and I'm sad to see it end. But it was a fine trip onwards into the future.

go ahead and read this one, you'll like it. it twists and turns it's way through the active plot giving insight into the human condition and it's possible evolutionary path. some good points to think on as the story unfolds.

this was s really nice adventure story.
it was utterly ruined by the computer voice butchering words and names over and over. A drunken 8th grader could've done a better job of narrating the tale!

the story line was mostly interesting in between the cum dumpster moments. i guess I'm not a big fan of the damaged girl who becomes a wanton woman. nice to see she healed up from her issues i suppose

i like the storyline well enough and the performance was very good. My problem is with the main character. She's a hot mess one minute and then after a sex scene she's got it together and is a super hero once again.... only to repeat the cycle over and over again throughout the books like a good roll in the hay solves all a girl's problems... Not a good role model in my mind at all! What does this portray to girls and young women who listen to this book as far as dealing with your problems? Sleep with a hottie and it'll all be better, hardly the case in real life and usually the very cause of mental grief!
it's perhaps just my personal bias and I did get through the series but her actions has me grinding my teeth at times knowing how the world reacts to women who act like this... they get ghosted real quickly as unstable poison to be avoided.

maybe it was a minute to leave this review. but after this series I'm not so sure anymore! time is a slippery concept.

I enjoyed the story. it moved along nicely and kept my brain engaged, Daniels problem solving skills are put to the test again and he has to find creative solutions.

another fine mess

you might think that book 17 would be a dull run on off the story. Not so! loved the new developments in the tecka. the crafty methodology for the farise problem and the introduction of new people from the past.
can't wait for the next one. favorite line: because it's what wizards do.

the horrible war

I can only hope that this is as close to war as you will ever come. For while the colors of the uniforms are different the horrors experienced are universal. This recounting of time from a soldier who's side ultimately lost and his perspective on events shed light on the other side of the history we were taught. For history, the official version, is written and passed on by the victorious. We would do well to remember that all who fought Wars did so with the ideals that their cause was right and just, and in the end most all were just trying to stay alive with their unit buddies. This is as dark a tale as you will ever hear and if you are not ready in life for that level of truth about war then you should skip along to something else. If you can bear this take it will change you.
