Historia
For 12 years, the virtual world of Yggdrasil has served as the playground and battlefield for the skeletal lord Momonga and his guild of fellow monsters, Ainz Ooal Gown. But the guild's glory days are over, and the game is shutting down permanently. When Momonga logs in one last time just to be there when the servers go dark, something happens - and suddenly, fantasy is reality. A rogues' gallery of fanatically devoted NPCs is ready to obey his every order, but the world Momonga now inhabits is not the one he remembers.

Historia

White Fragility

Historia
In this “vital, necessary, and beautiful book” (Michael Eric Dyson), antiracist educator Robin DiAngelo deftly illuminates the phenomenon of white fragility and “allows us to understand racism as a practice not restricted to 'bad people'" (Claudia Rankine). Referring to the defensive moves white people make when challenged racially, white fragility is characterized by emotions such as anger, fear, and guilt and by behaviors including argumentation and silence. These behaviors, in turn, function to reinstate white racial equilibrium and prevent meaningful cross-racial dialogue.

The Sophistry is strong with this one...
Revisado: 07-13-20
Where to start... Dude; this book is crazy. I'm tired of white people who have never experienced racism talking about what racism is and isn't. You have no idea. This lady doesn't offer any help to race relations. She just tells white people they have to hate on themselves for things other white people have done as well as rage against individualism and meritocracy because that's now white too. And she talks about if other people perceive you as white then you're white now I guess... because white people only, can decide what race you are. I bought this to see what all the hype was about and I guess it's interesting to hear her eloquently try and explain her batty theories about race and how they tie into everything and everything is white. This book only helps to make things worse.

Historia
Few perspectives epitomize the sheer drama and sacrifice of combat more perfectly than those of the fighter pilots of World War II. As romanticized as any soldier in history, the World War II fighter pilot was viewed as larger than life: a dashing soul waging war amongst the clouds. In the 65-plus years since the Allied victory, stories of these pilots' heroics have never been in short supply. But what about their adversaries - the highly skilled German aviators who pushed the Allies to the very brink of defeat?

Revisado: 11-18-19
It's quite interesting to be able to listen to the other side of a story. In this case, from the point of view of the Luftwaffe and its pilots. The book allowed each man an opportunity to shine light on their experiences as soliders, pilots, and men; bringing to life their memoirs of the Second World War in this lovely book. The narration was easy to follow, had a good cadence, and was pleasant to the ear. I really enjoyed listening to this book. Loved it!...

Historia
Launching into new territory that the author hadn’t mapped out when he embarked on the series, Nekomonogatari (White) tells the tale of heroine Tsubasa Hanekawa from her own perspective, in her own voice - if that can hold true for a damaged soul who, depending on who you’re asking, suffers from a split personality or a supernatural aberration.

A good collection of Myths
Revisado: 10-23-19
It's a nice collection of mythologies from around the world. I enjoyed listening to them all. It's great being able to go back to your favorites and listening to them all over again. They were well narrated for the most part, (a few mistakes and restarts in a couple of the Japanese myths). Besides that I would say it's a good buy and most definitely worth spending a credit on.

Historia
Around midnight, under a lonely streetlamp in a provincial town in Japan, lies a white woman, a blonde, alone, robbed of all four limbs yet undead. Indeed, a rumor's been circulating among the local girls that a vampire has come to their backwater, of all places. Koyomi Araragi, who prefers to avoid having friends because they'd lower his "intensity as a human", is naturally skeptical.

Superb performance!...
Revisado: 10-08-19
This title is easily one of my favorites; by far. The performance alone draws you into the story as if you were truly there, spying in from a rooftop. Catching every action vividly as you fall into the accompanying atmosphere of the, at times eerie, yet pleasant music. Further pulling you in until, all of a sudden, one of the many well timed fourth wall breaks occurs...and, you're back to reality." Boing ,boing..."don't want to spoil it for ya. So I'll stop with," this is a super sweet read and one of my fav's, and if you like Anime/Manga and the such; I assure you that you'll love this book too.
