good addition to the series, but the ending

the series took a downturn, around book 5, then swung back really hard with book 7 onward. unfortunately the ending of this text really drag things down for me. I loved everything leading up to the ending, but with Joe leaving, it really leaves a sour taste in my mouth. and unfortunately doesn't leave me excited for the next book. I understand the potential story implications given what happens near the end of the story, but it just feels frustrating at this point.

The Best Card based Litrpg to date

I absolutely love the story and characters, but it is so frustrating listening to Arthur lie so much is so frustrating. I might just be a nerd about this, but it's hard to empathize with him, even when he has the chance to be honest. I do admit and understand it's part of the story and his age, but it's slightly frustrating.

Otherwise! Easily the first book to truly capture the trading card game/deckbuilding lit RPG combination. others have tried and failed, didn't have the writing to support the concept. This one does in every approach

amazing addition to the series

thus one is really meant for those who love the lore and grander universe being presented. It is full of character and world building that is a delight. There is a bit of time in the early chapters reintroducing readers to Jason's old team and it does feel a bit long, but completely natural and understandable.

This is easily One of the best pieces of progression fantasy I've ever read. bar none in its storytelling within the genre. The only text that you compare to it was Drew Hayes's series, Superpowerds

there's only so much I could say about this book. it was Utterly tremendous and one of best stories I've encountered in the genre. Truely captivating and the fact that ending is as good as it is, was mind blowing. Can't wait for more.

Another amazing story in this trilogy. I see many complain about the sound effects and the sound blue thing of the piece. But frankly I find that very entertaining and immersive. let alone the quality of the writing carrying the rest of it.

Another rushed ending

I love the series and everything that has been done with it. I don't mind the audio narrator changing at all, though it was jarring at first. My only real gripe with this novel is that similar to book 3&4
