Joe takes his first step into exile, and is promptly unable to breathe. This new Zone has a higher concentration of power, magnitudes denser. His first task is to survive, but mere survival is the least of his concerns.

The Zone he has landed on has been in a state of constant war for thousands of years, a tug of war between the Elven and Dwarven societies. Not choosing a side is the same as declaring both to be your personal enemy. Though he is resistant, Joe reluctantly decides to go with the group he thinks will help him grow the most - and is instantly plunged into their bitter war. To gain the freedom he desires, Joe needs to turn to the less savory aspects of his class.

Engulfed by darkness, Joe can only hope he’ll be able to snuff out the light.

"The Completionist Chronicles" keeps getting better and better with each episode. I love Joe's character progression, I love the world and the humor. Some of the systems are getting a little too complex (specifically crafting), and hopefully future installments will clean this up by completely dropping the old way of doing things (this almost entirely happened in Inflame).
I'd like to see Jaxon featured a bit (OK, a LOT) more in Joe's story, he is hilarious!
I am really looking forward to the next book in the series, don't care if it is a side quest or the main story; just keep 'em coming!

The narrator, like Daniels made Dakota krouts book to come life. I loved it better than reading it. I’m going to have to purchase the past audibles to listen to them.

Just finished my second re read of this series and I still enjoyed every second. I read some reviews and can see why people feel how they feel about pacing and performance. But to me this story was amazing. The continuity of each of the three series is a masterpiece in itself.
I liked how it’s still centered around Joe and pushes his character to reflect on himself and not stray to far from his convictions. The beginning was a bit slow but the action as well as new characters made it every bit as a great listen to the end.

I'm a big fan of Dakota Krout's work thus far, and this has continued to impress. It maintains a fun adventurous feel that is just unpredictable enough to keep you wondering what will happen next. Eager as always for the next book to follow.

This series is so smart and fun. My only complaint is that I have to wait between books. Also, the narrator is amazing. Thank you, Luke, for not making the dwarves sound Scottish!

Luke Daniel's is one of the most engaging narrators out there. I had a blast listening to the wide range of wacky accents introduced in this release.

Last we saw Joe blasted to a new zone on the bifrost where he met an elf and a dwarf who told him he needed to pick a side. As much as he doesn't want to pick either, Joe has no choice. it was so much fun being immersed in a whole new culture. At the same time, Joe's new reductionist class means the magic system has basically completely changed. This very much gives the series a fresh new feeling. I will say I missed some of our favorite older characters, but we do get reunited with at least one old friend (though how they were able to progress to the next zone so quickly seems terribly mysterious to me and I'd love a side story to find out how that happened). I am looking forward to Joe eventually dealing with some issues in the landfill that were hinted at.
