I read / listened to a number of books relevant to 2 trips to Turkey or as ERDOGON PC NOW PREFERS “Turku’. I’m now prepared for John Norcross’s 3 VOLUMN history of Byzantium ‼️
Sadly Erdogon has covered MUCH of Byzantine ART/ Frescos WITHIN ST SOPHIA after HE converted it to active Mosgue across from BLUE MOSQUE. There R enuf Mosques in Istanbul that failure to maintain St Sophia’s as MUSEUM & for admirers of Byzantinian Art & historic value to Christians ‘offends me.” But I LOVE TURKEY & all the people of Turkey who remain gracious & welcoming to Westerers & LOTS OF IRISH & Norwegian transplants.
Highly RECOMMEND Prof Harls History of Bazantium — READ THIS BEFORE U VISIT TURKEY‼️

Crucial reading with less than 30 days to voting. Less if in state with early voting. Have read ALL of Woodward’s books. Because I was at Walter Reed HOSP i heard ALL Watergate testimony to impeach Nixon. Thought it would NEVER REPEAT in the future. Woodward (& Bernstein) EARNED my respect than & with every book on Presidents since. BUT IMPEACHMENT DID HAPPEN AGAIN! Rage adds MORE JUSTIFICATION for IMPEACHMENT than Mueller Report & House Impeachment hearings.
I wonder what current Republicans reflect upon IF & WHEN they read RAGE? Will they take RESPONSIBILITY for enabling Trump to mismanage COVID thru denial & incompetence? Will the American people? Will the American People hold Trump & the Republican Party of his last 4yrs ACCOUNTABLE??? ——. For the sake of our country’s well being - I HOPE TO GOD THEY DO!

I appreciated the attention given to his growing up from age 9 after tragic family loss. Interesting HS years & not experiencing more nurture for his talents. Somehow that brilliant mind got developed at Hampton Sydney ON HIS OWN time but he must have absorbed more. Early career years and sense of responsibility. A Southern gentleman who's maintained his humanity & nurtured his political awareness. Yes appreciate his humor continually, but readers will appreciate this TRUE SON OF The SOUTH even more as a MAN, husband and father more.

Mary's Book a PROFILE IN COURAGE

Well written book by PHD psychologist from reputable program. Her psychologist training would have subjected her to utilize much MORE REFLECTION about Family of Origin patterns & personal reflections about herself & such family impacts - MORE than … say training in political science, law, business or engineering. Which I think provides MARY ADDED CREDIBILITY for her observations & pattern detections on the main 'subject' of the book. I also sense their is EMPATHY for her family & personal PAIN .. .and yes JUSTIFIABLE ANGER that accompanies her family observations & reflections. Given this families & main subjects past & current history for 'exacting revenge' by policy, twitter, rumor & MISUSE of POWER, I see MARY as exercising real COURAGE to "out" her family members illegal, immoral & destructive behavior in the INSIGHTFUL manner she did in the book. It helps that she had a degree in LIT which makes for succinct writing style & has a PLEASANT & steady narrative voice. IT's good she read her own book on Audible. IT PROVIDES EVEN MORE VALIDATION. NOW, let's hope MARY remains SAFE given the history of her 'uncle'. IF Mary's NOT frightened, I KNOW I AM !!! MORE THAN BEFORE !!! I highly recommend this book as CUT WAY Above others on this topic. Plus it has LOTS MORE INSIDER CREDIBILITY !!!
