Historia
Sam Hunter is a bit of an animal. He's a former Twin Cities cop who lost his badge because of excessive force. Abusive husbands, child molesters, and other lowlifes wound up looking like they'd been mauled by a dog...or a wolf. Now Sam's a low-rent PI in Philadelphia. He takes the kinds of cases no one wants. His clients are usually on the fringes of society. The kind who are prey for all manner of predators - human and otherwise.

very good collection of shorts. rather light on the fighting, but great on details and spirit. a candy for those who liked the earlier of his series, before he tried to turn Joe Ledger extra woke around 2017..

Thomas Sowell takes a tough, factual look at whether the civil rights movement has lived up to its hopes or its rhetoric. Which of the assumptions behind the civil rights revolution have stood the test of time, and which have proven to be mistaken or even catastrophic to those who were supposed to be helped?

the author did a good job pointing out the most working rules of bringing about transformative change. so if you can stand his mostly leftie examples and attitudes, you might come out with some good grains of solid knowledge on the other side ))

Historia
In the slums of 18th-century France, Jean-Baptiste Grenouille is born with one sublime gift - an absolute sense of smell. As a boy, he lives to decipher the odors of Paris and apprentices himself to a prominent perfumer who teaches him the ancient art of mixing precious oils and herbs. But Grenouille's genius is such that he is not satisfied to stop there, and he becomes obsessed with capturing the smells of objects. Then one day, he catches a hint of a scent that will drive him on an ever-more-terrifying quest to create the "ultimate perfume" - the scent of a beautiful young virgin.

pointless meandering

really a senseless story.. like a piece of someone's life. a really brief one. authors love of globalist politics seeps through. TDS much? ))) what's worse is that this understanding of how dim his life outlook is, to see him trying to puppeteer the characters, and add some.. any intelligence into their minds is just plain painful..
imho, not worth the money.
