The beginning of greatness

The Bawb series was an emotional roller coaster for someone who has read the “Space Assassins” series and the “Bad Luck Charlie” series. For readers that haven’t, this series will open to door to a fantastic universe I haven’t seen the likes of in any other fictional works! I would however recommend the “Space Assassins” books before this series as they lend a lot of character development and backstory to the Bawb series as well as emotional attachment to those characters. Well done, absolutely well done.

Many years had elapsed since Bawb ascended to the ranks of the elite Master Ghalian, but his upward climb was not yet complete. A mysterious hint of greater things to come lingered, but despite his best efforts and all manner of challenges, he was still in the dark as to what exactly that might be.

I actually enjoyed the story though I think I would have enjoyed it more if it was narrated by an actual person. The virtual narrator was so flat and emotionless. Didn’t emphasize at the right times or differentiate between characters which made it seem poorly written though I’m sure it really was just the AI. Want to read the next book but not sure I will if not done with a real narrator.
