Historia
During Mardi Gras, anything can happen—even being auctioned to a monstrous alpha who refuses to let you go. Selene Mardi Gras was supposed to be my last wild night of freedom—one final reckless adventure before I disappeared for good. But instead of waking up with a hangover, I wake up in chains. Auctioned. Sold. Claimed. By him. Darius Tauron isn’t human. He’s a minotaur, a towering beast with molten gold eyes and curved black horns, draped in wealth and danger. He owns this city’s underworld, and now? He owns me. He says I belong to him. That he’s waited for me. That I was ...

Erotic, but the ILY made me cringe (spoliers)
Revisado: 03-31-25
The sex scenes were hot af. Very well written, passionate, and sexy as hell. Originally, I would have given it a 4.5ish, but the lead "heroine" was a bit... well... she literally said the "I love u" after... what, 1 day? A few days? Yeah, that, unfortunately, made me really cringe.
I'm all for the "enemy to lovers" trope but if the lead female was so drastically opposed to her captor, it would have been better imo for them to develop a bond at least over a few months (weeks, even). But the dropped bombshell made it too unrealistic and/or made her seem a bit desperate and wishy washy. Which, ok, it's mostly sex and sex can greatly alter ones state of mind, especially w how the lead male did everything 😉
But yeah, the ILY was wayyyyy too early, like the author was trying to rush the ending. But aside from that plot point, the sex scenes were great and well written 👌🏼

BEST IN THE WHOLE SERIES!
Revisado: 01-20-25
Wow, I don't even know where to begin....
This was hands down, no contest, the best story in the series this far.
1. Felo, his character and his development in the series 👏🏻
2. Can't forget all the steamy s3x scenes were perfect and full of feelings and carnal passion. Great combo and was executed perfectly!!
3. The narrator did a phenomenal job!
4. Vanessa and her character development was very good, steadily, and realistic
4. The relationship between the two, the way it just built up until sparks flew, yeah, I can't praise this story enough.
There were manyyyy other things about this story that I could rave about, but for the sake of everyone, I'll stop it here haha
(PS. I listed to it for the first time, started the next one in the series, missed Fejo, and came and basically listened to it all over again before continuing to the next book LOL) ❤️

Maxu never expected to find his fated mate. But he recognized Meg at first sight. Sadly, she's not as pleased with the match as he is. She's guarded in a way he doesn't entirely understand and pushes him away at every turn.

Compared to all the others thus far, unfortunately, this is my least favorite
Revisado: 01-20-25
I feel like there's an underlying "theme/trope" of each book (ex. Fejo=pirate, the jungle/surviving, etc.) It kinda felt like this story was leaning towards a BDSM kinda theme but... I feel like the overall story just lacked the passion the other ones did, ESPECIALLY since this is the next book after Fejo (which has been hands down my most favorite story thus far in the series).
While I'm glad the LGBT is represented in this book, their interaction was kinda lacking. Like, I didn't really feel any sparks, but their relationship was basically one of the subplot.
Okay, that's some of the negatives, one major positive I'll give this story is the fact that this is the first one the author ended w a cliff hanger, and a pretty good one at that.
Also, okay, we can't ignore the narrator. Like holy-panty-dropping-wow! It was so deep and soothing. And especially how he voiced Maxu was absolutely brilliant!!
All in all, it's was okay, but I just wasn't emotionally drawn to any of the main (or side) characters like I have in past books.

I'm so so happy for Ash to finally have a slice of happiness of his own. Tori is such a perfect fit for him. The beginning of Ash's life is tragic, but his future is brilliant 💜

They just aren’t sturdy enough for the type of rough sex Brawn enjoys most. When he learns he’ll be living under the same roof with Becca, Brawn simply sees it as a chance to broaden his knowledge of humans. Cool Beginning, Typical Ending
Revisado: 12-18-19
It had some promise in the beginning, but once the couple wasnt together, it became just like the first 3 books (man wants woman, woman refuses but is lured in by sex and ends up falling in "love" for the guy). Sorry, but I wasn't very impressed by this one :/

Best Story Yet!
Revisado: 12-17-19
I've always loved Justice and this story was awesome! While it was fast pace like the others, this one was focused on more romance than the horrors of what human men could do to a woman or the horrors of what the Species men went through.
I also appreciated how well Jessie could stand up for herself and her mate. All in all, this was the best book so far in the series!

Same as Fury and Slade...
Revisado: 12-16-19
*Spoiler Alert*
This was a complete repeate of the other 2 books...
1. Girl finds herself in bed w a male at first unwillingly, but then okay with it --Male also "claims" her almost immediately (even if he wont acknowledge it at first)
2. Girl gets taken by thugs who are anti new species
3. Girl goes through trauma and almost raped
4. Male saves her just in time
5. Male and girl bond a small amount, but mostly just have sex
6. Female gets taken away and male has to go and save her, again
7. Male saves the woman and proposes within a few days of knowing each other and woman agrees mainly because they are so sexually compatible and want to feel safe/male makes them feel safe.
I loved the story of Fury, and even Slade had a few twists and turns. But Valiant was kinda dull imo. I hope that the next book, Justice, will be different and wont follow the same pattern as the past 3 books...

no story but there was a second story!
Revisado: 01-17-19
the plot of the first book was non-existent.
spoiler alert: the characters suddenly "loved" each other w no other reason than they had crushes on each other for years. the DH's past isnt explained. and the girl is willing to get his soul back, so Ash says ok. they dknt know how to drain him of his DH powers so Ash kills him because they r "worth" it. sorry, but wasnt even really a story.
the SECOND book, however, followed Fury. I enjoyed that plot, tho it just sounded like the first few chapters before it ended. maybe it was supposed to be the prologue for the next book in the series...?
all in all, unfortunately, this was my least favorite of the series :(
