poorly written
Revisado: 09-30-22
These books are written as if a 12 year old ,playing soldier, would write. Very adolescent and disjointed! However, if it were written better it would be a good story.

Boring
Revisado: 09-27-22
Boring but unfortunately my O.C.D will not allow me to not finish the series. The main character comes off as desperate for any female affection. The story would be great if there was more action without every little detail. These books should not be classified as horror ,no matter what the "warning label" says

Historia
Phoebe, the soulless child, has been raised by her adoptive father, Eric—the universe-hopping vampire wizard from the future. After all, who better to raise a soulless infant than an undead monster? He did his best to raise her right. He made certain she was well-educated. He picked a reasonably decent culture for her to grow up in. He trained her in her powers, taught her everything he could, and even broadened her horizons by touring other worlds, other times, other histories—and some futures!

Boring
Revisado: 08-10-22
This would be an awesome series except for the fact that it is literally like listening to some teenagers journal read aloud. Sorry but it has a lot of boring a a little action. If it were not for my OCD I would of quit listening to this whole series.

Historia
A year ago, composer Ben Shadeland traveled to the Sorrows, a reportedly haunted island off the California coast, to find inspiration for a horror movie music score. Instead, he found madness, murder, and an ancient evil. His family barely survived the nightmare, and Ben swore he'd never return to the island or its accursed castle. Now, Ben's infant daughter has been kidnapped and Ben is convinced that the malevolent creature that lives in the catacombs beneath Castle Blackwood is responsible.

Historia
From electrifying horror author Nick Cutter comes a haunting new novel, reminiscent of Cormac McCarthy's Blood Meridian and Stephen King's It, in which a trio of mismatched mercenaries is hired by a young woman for a deceptively simple task: check in on her nephew, who may have been taken against his will to a remote New Mexico backwoods settlement called Little Heaven. Shortly after they arrive, things begin to turn ominous.

Historia
It starts with the dogs. They won’t stop barking. And then the earth shrugs - 8.9 on the Richter scale. It’s the world’s biggest earthquake since Lisbon in 1755, and it doesn’t hit California or Japan or Mexico, but New Madrid, Missouri, a sleepy town on the Mississippi River. Seismologists had predicted the scope of the disaster - but no one listened. For hundreds of miles around, dams burst, engulfing entire counties in tidal waves of mud and debris. Within minutes, there is nothing but chaos and ruin from St. Louis to Vicksburg, from Kansas City to Louisville.
