Historia
The impact of the time transposition that brought a twenty-first century cruise ship to the Hellenic world right after the death of Alexander the Great continues to unfold. While President Al Wiley is building a new America in Trinidad and Captain Lars Floden is trying to use the Queen of the Sea to spread enlightenment around the world, Rome is experiencing a wakeup call—and so are its neighbors. If things don't change, the Roman republic is going to become a dictatorship. And if things don't change, the Samnites, Etruscans and other Italian states will become subjects of the Roman ...

AI Narrator Detracts from Overall Experience
Revisado: 11-28-24
I very much disliked the virtual narration produced by AI. Technically the voice was fine and indistinguishable from a real person. But the inflection was flat and off. it was painfully obvious that the story was being narrated by a machine with no understanding of what was being read. The delivery was awkward and detracted from the story, which could have been so much better. I love the premise of the story and very much enjoyed the previous installments. Maybe the AI narration was an experiment to see how well it would be received. What a disappointment, to say the least. I would urge the authors and publishing company to go back to a human narrator. i'm willing to pay for that.

Historia
My name is Kazimir Wolfe. People call me "Kaz", except they don’t. I never use my real name; it’s too dangerous, for me and for anyone I meet. I’m on the run from the law, who think I killed my aunt, and from whoever did kill her, because they want to finish the job. So, I move around a lot, working construction or whatever job I can find. It’s a lonely life. I don’t let anyone get close...people who get close to me end up dead. Why? I’m a wizard. The world’s only wizard, as far as I know.

Great Start to sn Exciting New Series
Revisado: 05-19-24
The team of Craig Alanson and RC Bray is a well oiled machine now. Well written, interesting story with compelling characters, all preformed with RC Bray's usual engaging humor and panache. I enjoyed every minute of this audiobook performance and will immediately purchase the 2nd book in the series (as soon as it is available.)

Interesting premise, decent story, flawless performance
Revisado: 05-03-24
Story was okay. Well written prose like Koontz does, and interesting premise. The plot was maybe a little too formulaic and trite. Entertaining all the same. Not one of Koontz' best, and I think he could have fleshed out the plot based on the intriguing premise. This could have been a more complex and less "preachy" story. Nonetheless, the narrators performance was top notch, very polished and professional.

Confusing and Disorienting in the Beginning, for Good Reason - Keep Listening!
Revisado: 11-22-23
After the first few chapters, the story line got disorienting and didn't make sense. Eventually it seemed to coalesce into something understandable and predictable. Then it got weird again. This experience was unlike the first two installments in the series. It was frustrating. But I'm glad I kept listening. This is a complex and fascinating story. I won't summarize the plot for you - no spoilers.
The performance by the narrator was again excellent and flawless. I am an audiobook narrator too, so I pay attention to the little things, nit-picky details. I can only learn from such an exemplary performance as her's.

Historia
For generations, everything has been getting faster, better, and cheaper. Finally, we reached the point that almost anything you could ever want could be sent to your home within days - even hours - of when you decided you wanted it. America made that happen, but now America has lost interest in keeping it going.

Hard hitting, factual, data driven, and funny!
Revisado: 08-07-22
Written and narrated by Peter Zeihan, The End of the World Is Just the Beginning is fascinating, engrossing, alarming, but also hopeful. And it's presented with just the right amount of humor to keep people engaged. This is heavy stuff, but I could not stop listening and I finished it in 24 hours. This is one book that you have to read/listen to. I'm going to share this one with as many people as I can. Oh yeah, while the author is probably quite busy with his full time career, he also just happens to be a really awesome narrator. No one could have given a better performance. Very pleasant voice and easy to listen to.

Historia
The world of magick and the world of man have long been estranged from one another. But some can walk between the two—including Breen Siobhan Kelly. She has just returned to Talamh, with her friend, Marco, who’s dazzled and disoriented by this realm—a place filled with dragons and faeries and mermaids (but no WiFi, to his chagrin). In Talamh, Breen is not the ordinary young schoolteacher he knew her as. Here she is learning to embrace the powers of her true identity. Marco is welcomed kindly by her people—and by Keegan, leader of the Fey.

Historia
Former Federal Air Marshal Stephen Mason has again done the impossible. He has passed back through an unexplainable time portal and reunited with the three people he cares about most. It's 1720, Charles Town, Carolina Colony, a time and place fraught with hardships and hazards. Carving out a life here will be challenging, especially for these modern-day transplants. There are few people they can trust, none in whom they can confide. But they have each other. And they have a rice plantation.

Well Performed Sequel to 1st Book
Revisado: 01-28-22
I was hoping that the author would write a sequel to A Ripple in Time, and this was a welcome addition, if a bit too brief. It still leaves me wanting more. Fortunately, there seems to be a 3rd installment.

Historia
It started as a routine Miami to Charlotte flight for the passengers, crew, and Federal Air Marshal Stephen Mason. But a freak storm over the Atlantic propels the airliner unexplainably back in time to the early 18th century. They find themselves on the sparsely populated coast of the Carolina Colony. Charles Town is the only English settlement of any size in the area. It's an inhospitable place of vast plantations, slavery, hostile natives, tall ships, and marauding pirates.

Good Premise, Well Narrated, Maybe too Brief
Revisado: 01-26-22
The story is derived from a good premise, and it's got good bones, but needs a little more meat on the bones. Sean William Doyle does a grest job of narration and gives life to his characters with good distinction and differentiating accents among characters. I think the story holds up well, but it leaves me wanting more. My one complaint is that I wanted a longer story with more development. This wrapped up nicely, just too soon for my tastes. All in all, if you like time travel or alternate history stories, you will enjoy this one. It seems unlikely, but maybe Victor Zugg will write a sequal...

Great Start to a Fascinating New Series
Revisado: 07-11-21
This is my 1st time listening to a Nora Roberts book. Started out slow, but extremely well written. I'm totally hooked now, and I'm going to immediately listen to the 2nd book in the series. The narration was top notch, and the Irish accents were perfect. The voices of the characters were well done, distinct, and expertly performed.
