Elin Hilderbrand has surely brought this family to life! Having been born in 1962 myself, I completely relate to this entire family as if they were my next door neighbors. Each character draws you in and the summer of 69 was probably one of my all-time favorite books so to see this out excited me greatly except for I was finished in no time. I see a lot of people complain about that and while it is not really worth a credit, I just bought it out right with my rewards. I loved every minute of it short as it was and it has left me wanting more of this family’s journey in life . I hope she will write another one and keep it going from one generation to the next.

The courage and bravery it took to bring this story out to the world is undeniable. Whether you are 16 or 60, whatever your struggle may be, this book will have you captivated and holding on to every last word. You will feel the passion behind the writing, the heart of the author and you will feel the struggles of overcoming. This book will have you both crying and cheering! Compelling, Healing- well written-excellent narration-and a call to ACTION! Do not skip by this book!

HOLD ON ! You’re in for a ride!

Loved this book! The storyline will keep you engaged the entire time. You will go back in time and feel like you are right there on that ship. The narration is done perfectly. Your heart will ache for some and all that they’re going through during this voyage then rejoice at other times. I found myself cheering Them on then crying w/ them -It leaves you guessing in several situations .. a long book but we’ll worth it!

Keeps you on the edge!

This is typically not my type of book -it’s a little bit too dark for my taste, however, giving the content of the story, I thought overall it was really good. It will keep you on the edge of your seat as the people begin to come together and you will find some shockers!! Because of that I’ll give it a 4 star.. The narration is well done.

I Wish This Could be made into a movie!

This is one of my all-time favorite books. The narration is perfect-The characters will keep your attention from the first chapter on and the times and events brought back so many memories for myself. I felt I was transported back in time to my childhood days. Everything from the food to the drinks to the political feel of the era were perfected! I never usually relisten to books once I’ve heard or read them, however, this is one I surely will be revisiting! I hope they make this into a movie someday! Love love love everything about this book!

OPEN your ears to HEAR!!!

He that has ears to hear, let him hear....Listening to Melissa you can tell she CLEARLY has a sold out heart for God and loves JESUS and I trust He gave her this decoding of the end times for such a time as this.....She does an excellent job of revealing what has been kept from us for centuries from those of a higher rank ( the cabal) and how literally every system including our religious orders and systems have been infiltrated. It amazes me how some people cannot even open their ears to hear....I had to ask myself to do the same quite honestly and I prayed KNOWING already that many of our teachings handed down over the year were simply not true. God is not the author of confusion and HIS church his widely confused on the end times. Nobody can even agree about a pre-trib, mid-trib, post trib rapture for instance. God has ALWAYS used people to carry out HIS will here in the earth until the day of HIs return He will continue to do so, in which case I do not find it odd at all that the warriors that are out there now tying to spread truth would be chosen to do so. Or President Trump ( God used kings throughout history). She does NOT just speak of America as one person posted but of the entire world...there will truly only be a remnant on the earth when the Lord returns and I can see why....the complete veil of indoctrination that has been placed over so many eyes is astounding....I would say listen and pray ask the Father for wisdom, understanding, and discernment and you will surely get it....from there you can eat the meat and spit out the bones. There are a lot of bones to be spit out from previous teachings as well but the one thing I do hold onto is in Daniel where it is recorded that" in the END times, knowledge (of the end times) would increase"...THIINK-.John was trying to describe a dream, a revelation OF Jesus Christ he had, he did not know what a computer was or technology or missiles or anything of this day and age....Jesus himself constantly spoke in parables, why on earth does anyone with some insight and discernment think the last book of the Bible is any different??? It is called The Revelation OF Jesus Christ!!! Just think of that for a minute.....

I loved diamond and silk before reading their book and I love them even more now after hearing their story! The obstacles they overcame and their attitude they have maintained through it all speaks volumes of their character and integrity! Keep fighting the good fight girls and we will keep being amazed at all that God does through you both!! You have an army fighting with you!
