Historia
What happens when you realize you are an empath? You transform, just as the caterpillar breaks down in the cocoon. You shed your old ways, your old skin, and you recognize your bad habits and the toxic people in your life. You may go through an awakening of the soul. It feels big because it is big. It's life-changing. You are now the butterfly. Empaths have superpowers, and once you step into yours and embrace your gifts, you become who you were meant to be. You realize you are not "too sensitive" and don't need to "toughen up." You no longer feel exhausted, drained and, overwhelmed. You ...

Like the authors were writing about me
Revisado: 09-20-24
First, this was the first time I have listened to a book narrated by AI. It was so much better than I anticipated. The only strange parts were the poems. I am assuming that AI read with great pauses to demonstrate one verse from the next. She has a very pleasant voice.
The material is a compilation of many biographies of empaths. I am a highly sensitive and empath. I have known this for quite some time. I can honestly say that I found a little bit of me in each chapter.
I too found my true self and heard the word empath at 40 years old. I love who I am 26 years later. It can be very painful at times but I wouldn't trade my gift for anything.
If you "think" you might be one listen to this book. It will resonate with you and take away all doubts.

Historia
As Cady struggles under the enormous pressure at Harvard, she investigates her brother’s final year, armed only with a blue notebook of Eric’s cryptic scribblings. She knew he had been struggling with paranoia, delusions, and illusory enemies - but what tipped him over the edge? Voices fill her head, seemingly belonging to three ghosts who passed through the university in life, or death, and whose voices, dreams, and terrors still echo the halls. Among them is a person whose name has been buried for centuries, and another whose name mankind will never forget.

A page turner for me!
Revisado: 04-21-24
Before I bought this book I read all the reviews. For the most part they were all glowing with praise. There were a few that said it wasn't that awesome but the narration was good.
For me it deserves all the glowing praise. It had everything that I like in a story. Well developed characters, mystery and a wealth of knowledge in a field that I may not know enough about.
The narration ranks up there in my top ten. Perfection! Bring born in Boston and still to this day being asked to repeat the phrase..I paahk my caaah in Haahvahd yahhd, I would smile as I heard the Boston accent being used in paahts (smiling) the book.
Bravo on job well done!

Revisado: 03-29-24
Bravo! RuPaul kept me rivited to every chapter. Keep an open mind and you will gleen the heart of a highly sensitive human that overflows with kindness and is disappointed to find that everyone does not share that gift. So many nuggets of wisdom. I am so glad that I have this in my library.

The Author Wrote My Story
Revisado: 03-01-24
I am a woman who has dreamed of this set up for over 40 years. I have always felt like I couldn't tell others how I felt without feeling like a misfit. I actually thought about not finishing the book because I thought it would be the same old same old. Nope!! Yippee for us independent types. Loved the book.

Life Threatening Culture
Revisado: 02-17-24
When government dictates the matters of life and death, the human spirit finds a way to deal with things. Freedom for the main character comes at quite a cost. I thought the story was well written and made me think of choices I might make given the same circumstances. A wonderful compelling story.

I am not a reader of romance novels. Is this considered a romance novel? I think it should be considered an EVERYTHING novel. My neice told me about it. I knew I needed to read this after she said "I wish I could read it again for the first time."
I highly recommend this book.

Historia
Olivia McAfee knows what it feels like to start over. Her picture-perfect life—living in Boston, married to a brilliant cardiothoracic surgeon, raising their beautiful son, Asher—was upended when her husband revealed a darker side. She never imagined that she would end up back in her sleepy New Hampshire hometown, living in the house she grew up in and taking over her father’s beekeeping business. Lily Campanello is familiar with do-overs, too. When she and her mom relocate to Adams, New Hampshire, for her final year of high school, they both hope it will be a fresh start.

Bravo! A beautiful story that will cause you to look inside yourself and hopefully reflect back to you the oneness of us all. So well written and so needed in the world we will live in where standing up for who we are and living our truth takes so much courage.
I highly highly recommend this book and pray that like me your heart will be touched and be encouraged to be more accepting to those that are courageously living their lives without shame for "who" they are and not "what" they are.

Totally in for the journey!
Revisado: 09-12-21
Neisha you are a joy to listen to. I am a 63 year old mom and I am so enamored with your honesty. Yes you are unique. Unique is "why" I listen to you.
While listening to you I kept thinking of the book The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho. You embody the entire book. Travel away to find your way back to find your joy only because of the journey you took.
Loved this. Looking forward to more.
