Historia
A highly rated mystery/thriller series takes a bone-chilling jaunt to Scotland. Book 8 in the award-winning Port Stirling series Port Stirling, Oregon, police chief Matt Horning and his special agent wife, Fern, finally get their well-deserved vacation on a getaway to Shetland and the Scottish Highlands. But their heart-warming holiday turns deadly in a pulse-pounding game of cat and mouse when they reach Edinburgh. Did this shocking, brazen crime originate back home in Port Stirling? Story was good

Virtual voice was flat and very poor in eliciting any emotion. I won’t listen to any more virtual voice readings until it is vastly improved. An injustice to the author.

Historia
Since the days of conquistador Hernán Cortés, rumors have circulated about a lost city of immense wealth hidden somewhere in the Honduran interior, called the White City or the Lost City of the Monkey God. Indigenous tribes speak of ancestors who fled there to escape the Spanish invaders, and they warn that anyone who enters this sacred city will fall ill and die.

Wow!

Fascinating. It "reads" like a novel. Having visited several Mayan sites in the 70's and 80's, a couple of which were quite remote & had been pretty new discoveries, I was thrilled to hear of this expedition & to have a good writer & reader to "take me on their journey" with them. Towards the end it dealt quite a bit with epidemiological issues which came up as a result of the expedition. That part was more scary than their adventure & very informative. I hope to follow the discovery as they learn more.
