The story was slow to build up and seemed to drag, However, it progressed very well to a wonderful end. An overall good book.

Flat, Monotonous, Dull Narration

The AI narration was absolutely not a good idea. There was no emotion or inflection in the voice. There were times I could tell who was speaking. It was so flat and monotonous I almost returned the book eventougj it was free. I only suffered through it because the story seemed to be great, however, the narration kept me from fully enjoying what could have been a good boom.

Boring!

The performance was extremely poor. The range of voice by the narrator was non-existent. As a result, what could have been a great story fell flat. I literally forced myself to listen to it just because I wanted to give it a fair chance. Should have just scrapped it and moved on. Waste of time I will never recoup.

Narration could have been better

When a good book is read by someone in a monotone, it takes away from the amazing story within. That was the situation for me. The author read, not narrated his book at a speed that was too fast to enjoy. I had to reduce the speed to .8, and it took me to chapter 4 to get into the story. I couldn't separate one character from the next and I couldn't tell if someone was excited, angry or sad if it wasn't for the fact that the book itself made it clear based on the words. It was a great book and could have been greater if the author chose someone to narrate instead of him reading. Valiant effort but performance was disappointing in the end for me.

Never saw this coming

I do not know what to say. I never saw the twist coming and I'm not sure if I should be happy that a book got me to the end or mad at how it ended. either way, I'm going to get my friend and aunt to listen to this book.

Awesome!!!

I have very few words to describe this trilogy. It was awesome. Simply amazing. Will Wight has done it again and quite frankly, I expected nothing less after listening to the Elder Empire and Cradle series. Further, no other narrator would have nor could have done these books justice as Travis Baldree. Excellent narration.

Tear Jerker

Had I read the preview I would not have bought this book. I was brought to tears so often throughout the book and it made me think of the people I lost tragically and the people I still have left. It is a great book. I'm happy I bought but but I am also sad and in tears.

Narrator was my issue

After using one narrator for 5 previous books, on th last book they changed the narrator. I struggled to recognize who is speaking half the time and this seriously took away from enjoying the book itself. I was so disappointed. I felt cheated out of the experience. the story is great as with the other books but the experience was marred by this new narrator.
