Wonderful twist

very unexpected ending! This book kept me interested until the very end and added a twist I never saw coming. The narrator was great. I will be reading more from this author.

Get past first few chapters and it is VERY GOOD!!

It may have been the fact that I was sick during the first few chapters but they were hard to keep track of After that it was SO interesting. I loved . the depth of the characters and had never heard nor read a plot quite like this. I honestly believe this would make an incredible TV show and series!! PLEASE make that happen ❤️

Wonderfully paced!!

Couldn't put it down! I devoured this book but it was so wonderfully paced that I enjoyed every minute of it! I loved the narrator's voice so much that I searched for more books she narrates. A must read that keeps you in suspence until the very end and leaves an opening for you to infer what happened after. 10/10

This is such a wonderfully written and raw story. I applaud the author for making such amazing things happen in the trenches of tragedy! Our world is a better place because of your ability to use your pain for good. I loved every minute of this first hand account of her pursuit for the truth, no matter how ugly it may be. I was once told that "an ugly truth is better than a pretty lie any day." and I believe this author brought that saying to life here.

Not all journalists take such pride in getting the facts before they put out a story, but thank goodness this man does!!

Couldn't believe the uncovering of the lies that I believed about this case that the media made part of my understanding of the events. Those who search for truth are very hard to find these days. As a school teacher you would hardly believe the absolute craziness that I feel every single year that we practice 'Active Shooter Lockdown Drills". We are required to do this multiple times with all pre-K- Highschool and trying to calmly teach a 5 yr old to barricade a door, hide, or fight if there is no escape and then teach them all to exit only when a police officer says the specific code word with their hands held high.....it breaks my heart each time. Our FBI has shown that it has the capability to know who could be dangerous but the way they handle that information is still developing. We must demand better from government and from our communities.
