Historia
The enemy unknowingly opened a portal to the Netherworld, and our world’s only wizard somehow managed to close it. Unfortunately, something got through. Something big. A dragon. Now Kaz Wolfe, with help from his dog Duke who is channeling the spirit of a wizard from ancient Babylon, and with no help from Azib the Cowardly Genie, must find the dragon before someone gets a cellphone video of the thing, and the world learns that magic is real. Or, you know, before the dragon eats someone.

Craig Alanson + R.C. Bray = Masterpiece
Revisado: 01-18-25
One of my absolute favorite author/narrator duos out there, R.C. Bray is just phenomenal and really brings the story alive. I am just as invested in the Convergence story line as I am in Expeditonary Force, maybe even more so…

Historia
Miah Gray is a 27-year-old former army soldier living in rural New Hampshire with his sister, mother, and her boyfriend. He is plagued by PTSD, finding solace, but not redemption, with the aid of prescribed cannabis. All he wants to do is get high, relax with a good sandwich, and watch a meteor shower with his neighborhood crush, Jen. When the sun's light is blotted out the following morning and the world is plunged into darkness, Miah finds himself locked down with his family, covering windows with trash bags, lighting candles, and following the arcane rules of an ancient prophecy.

Historia
Mia is reluctant to go camping with her boyfriend and sister, who are graduate students working on a dissertation about American folklore. But ultimately, they convince her to help document the trip. The group sets off to Black Creek, a remote destination in the Pacific Northwest where Bigfoot has allegedly been sighted. They think they’re prepared for anything, but their sense of terror grows as they find more and more evidence to suggest the monster really is out there. Eventually, Mia realizes she’ll be lucky just to make it out of the woods alive.

I liked this book by a new author for me. The narration wasn’t great, but it’s not terrible either and the story is interesting enough you want to listen through.

Historia
In the 25th century, humankind has spread throughout the galaxy, monitored by the watchful eye of the U.N. While divisions in race, religion, and class still exist, advances in technology have redefined life itself. Now, assuming one can afford the expensive procedure, a person's consciousness can be stored in a cortical stack at the base of the brain and easily downloaded into a new body (or "sleeve") making death nothing more than a minor blip on a screen.

Great listen!
Revisado: 03-01-18
I really enjoyed this one and will likely buy the rest as well. It's not as awe-inspiring a story overall as some of my more favorite titles and sometimes dips into a bit of confusion and chaos that makes it hard to follow. The narration is great especially if you're a gritty noir fan.

Historia
Colonel Joe Bishop made a promise and he's going to keep it; taking the captured alien starship Flying Dutchman back out. He doesn't agree when the UN decides to send almost 70 elite Special Operations troops, hotshot pilots, and scientists with him; the mission is a fool's errand he doesn't expect to ever return from. At least, this time, the Earth is safe, right? Not so much.

A MUST LISTEN!!!
Revisado: 11-23-17
This is by far one of the best listens I've ever had. The narrator is amazing and if you're American, Indian, British, Chinese, or French, you will love the feel of listening to a narrator that can very accurately voice accents even from separate regions and dialects of those great countries. The main character and sidekick have wonderfully fun and witty banter and the narrative itself is written in a way that both strictly sci-fi lovers and action/thriller lovers can easily access and understand comprehensively every single line delivered. This is actually my 3rd listen of the series in less than 2 months and I rarely if ever listen to one book series that many times ever let alone in so quick a turnaround from first listen.

Funniest Author and Narrator EVER
Revisado: 06-04-17
I have to say that these books are the funniest I have ever listened to. The humor can be stupid at times and even crude, but the delivery by the narrator and the the words themselves are just hilarious. I believe this rings especially true if you're an old school gamer or have had any experience with D & D. If you've played any MMORPGs or pen and paper RPGs you will immediately recognize character types in the book and ROFL to hear how they muddle through their quests. I've listened to the first 4 books 3 times each now and just starting on the D6 series, but am just as pleased with these as I've been with all of them. I will buy everything I can written by Robert Bevan.

Historia
Welcome to Derry, Maine. It’s a small city, a place as hauntingly familiar as your own hometown. Only in Derry the haunting is real. They were seven teenagers when they first stumbled upon the horror. Now they are grown-up men and women who have gone out into the big world to gain success and happiness. But the promise they made 28 years ago calls them reunite in the same place where, as teenagers, they battled an evil creature that preyed on the city’s children.

BEST AUDIO BOOK NARRATOR EVER!
Revisado: 04-12-17
I am an avid audio book listener and while I've heard some narrators that were just perfect for what they were reading, I've never experienced a narrator that just blew me away with his range, characterizations/vocals, and how just spot on he was with all of this massive number of voices. There are more characters and voices in this saga of a book and then the same characters move in time through the book as children and adults and the voices change dramatically and accordingly and I never noticed at least any deviation throughout the entire listen. Just a phenomenal performance.

Confusing/Hard to follow & I wish it wasn't
Revisado: 12-31-16
I know I would absolutely love this story if it wasn't so hard to follow. Most of the narrators on their own (save for one of the females who was honestly a bit juvenile/hard to listen to) would have performed this good of a story at a level I would have rated it at 5 star all around likely. However, the multiple narrators, using multiple voices for the same characters made this extremely hard to follow and a great story with great characters naturally fell into the background which has really never happened before for me. This is the first multiple narrator story I've listened too and I likely will not do it again. I hope a single narrator version of this story comes out.

Knowledge is power. That would be the motto of Lander University, had it not been snatched up and used to death by others long before the school was founded. For while Lander offers a full range of courses to nearly all students, it also offers a small number of specialty classes to a very select few. Lander is home to the Hero Certification Program, a curriculum designed to develop students with superhuman capabilities, commonly known as Supers, into official Heroes.
