The narration was disappointing. I was surprised that Mr Bennet had a Scottish accent.
The story was interesting. I would have liked an epilog.

Very original plot, characters true to cannon, great villians

I especially liked how Wickam redeemed himself. The Duke's comeuppance was very apt. Caroline was spot on. I didn't enjoy mr and mrs bennet, but that was the point. I always love variations where Mary, Kitty (Kate), and Lidia are educated and encouraged to develop to their full potential.
The love stories were well developed and natural. That Jane took off her rose-colored glasses but still retained her essential character was nice. I never really understood why J. A. allowed her to marry a mamby-pamby Bingley. I always enjoy stories when they both grow back-bones.
I enjoyed the story. It kept my interest engaged.
The narration was disappointing. While her character voices were excellent, very distinctive, and well acted, but the actual story telling was stillted with a strange cadence. I had to speed it up to 1.25 speed to get through it.

HK's novels always entertain and delight. I enjoyed this narrator, as well. It was easy to distinguish between the characters. I especially liked that the female characters voices were pleasant and feminine without being insipid.

very complex story, sometimes hard to follow

Loved the character development. They grew as the story developed.
The plot was excellent, though somethings could have been explained a little better. In some places it was to ambiguous. I love stories that make you think, laugh, and cry; this one delivered. Definitely a book you have to concentrate on.
Very satisfied with how the villains were dealt with, especially Wickham.

OMG!!! My new favorite!!!!!

I didn't think DD could write better, but this book blew my mind.
The story started out the same as the others...great characters, great sparkling dialog, same LOL quips, then, BAM!! She took it to a whole new level. The dragon has to be my new favorite scene.
I can't wait for Tessa's and Jared's story.

This was a wonderfully imaginative story. I almost stayed up all night listening to it.

It took some time getting used to the narrator. She was a little breathy. There was almost an Irsh or Scottish inflection to her accents.

Sherry Thomas and Kate Reading are the perfect pairing.
The plot was well thought out. The twists and turns had me listening well into the wee hours of the morning, and this was the second time I've listened it. I'm actually going through all the books in the series in anticipation of the 5th book.

the story is ok. the heroine is a VERY natural submissive, timid and shy. The problem is she doesn't evolve as a character. The hero's mother disrespects and walks all over her, but Daddy doesn't notice or come to her defense. He only acts when his momma disrespects his trainer.That in itself is not horrible. What made me angry enough to yell at the book was when the Daddy took his anger out on his baby girl with a beating. That was not bdsm play; that was not a loving correction of disobedience. That was abuse of power, plain and simple. She did not derive any pleasure from it, as evidenced by the fact she wasn't wet when he entered her. The heroine actually believed she needed to be the recipient of his beating to help him deal with his anger. If an author is going to write in this genre, then she shouldn't misrepresent the lifestyle. That was a perfect example of when a safe word should have been used. No dominant should do a scean while angry, and no sub should be subjected to that anger. Submission is a gift that should be treasured and respected. Any disregard of that gift should have been addressed, and the Daddy should have had to do more than just say I'm sorry. There should have been consequences.
