When you dont want it to end, you know the story is a good one. So full of adventure it makes you whoop in delight and then cry out NOOO! When a fav character is in peril. What a ride. PHEW....

Predictable but fun getting there. Love Will Thorns voice. sexy
The dialogue between characters is interesting and informative. Actually I was surprised and pleased. This is first read of this author for me. I will be back.

One of the very best ever!!

This is book two of the series and so as I am rereading the set I am compelled to write my feelings. a great part of the story is that you get so involved with these characters that you will FEEL for them.
I cheered and cried through out. I even cursed out loud a couple times.
The book is long but not boring. The world portrayed is unique and sometimes even scary The narrator is excellent with all the voices both men and women.
Well worth any price!!
This is a classic.

Pretty good story

I was a little unsure about this book in the beginning. I can’t put my finger on it..... maybe the POV switching back and forth was what kept putting me off. Also. I was not pleased with the narrator. An audiobook has a tone be it serious or amusing, emotional or silly and this is created by the narrator. In this book I couldn’t get a steady feeling and it put me off. May be it’s just me. Any way about 3/4 through I got hooked and settled in for the rest of the ride which was pretty good.
I received a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review at my request..I will look for forwardp to more of Tallow’s adventures.

Fresh and imaginative!

As I started this book. I thought"oh no same old apocalypse tale", but I was wrong. This is a new twist on the genre. I really got hooked after the first few chapters. I highly recommend this first of three books. I hope the next two don't disappoint.

I was happily listening to what I thought was a nice story when the plot grabbed me and held me strongly till the end. i listen to multiple books at once unless one is so compelling I can't switch to another. Doesn't happen often so I know that when it does I have a gem in my hand. hey

Weird style of story telling. Disjointed, rambling and over dramatic. I kept going back thinking i missed something.
Even the title is off somehow. So sorry.

Sex is fine.

Contrary to previous reviews, the sexual scenes did fit in with this epic tale. The author used more realism in this installment than previously included. I liked it a lot better. There is something wrong/deceitful when authors refuse to mention the gritty details of their characters lives. You may think it wrong in a YA book but then you probably think of young adults as sterile too. Kudos to you Sarah for being bold enough to go against the stream and create characters that really make you feel for them.

Darn near perfect!

I usually groan when I see the author is the narrator for audible books. However MS Hopkins is superb performing all the character voices. Kudos Faleena! The story ticks all the right boxes for a sexy funny but also dramatic emotional ride. A pleasure to listen/read!

Joe Arden and Maxine Mitchell rock!

These two narrators really bring books to life. Joe Arden has the sexiest voice out there in narrator land. The authors do well too. I would just suggest a bit more character development pet book to be even better.
