Historia
Suburbia. Shady, tree-lined streets; well-tended lawns; and cozy homes. A nice, quiet place to grow up. Unless you are teenage Meg or her crippled sister, Susan. On a dead-end street, in the dark, damp basement of the Chandler house, Meg and Susan are left captive to the savage whims and rages of a distant aunt who is rapidly descending into madness. It is a madness that infects all three of her sons and finally the entire neighborhood. Only one troubled boy stands hesitantly between Meg and Susan and their cruel, torturous deaths.

Horrific
Revisado: 07-25-24
Narration was great. The story however is something out of nightmares. Not horror fantasy, but more realistic. The horrors of what humans are capable of. The worst horror there is.

The Equivalent of a Lifetime/Hallmark Xmas Special
Revisado: 11-17-23
The Equivalent of a Lifetime/Hallmark Xmas Special in book form.
This is a great holiday vacation book. Not much depth, quick read and just interesting enough to keep you flipping pages.
My only complaint on performance was the horrendous Boston accent, which is really tough to nail admittedly.

Historia
Twelve years ago, eight friends ran an exclusive group at university: the Masquerade Murder Society. The mysteries they solved may have been grisly, and brilliantly staged, but they were always fictional—until their final Christmas Masquerade, when one of the group disappeared, never to be seen again. Now our privileged young cast of old university friends are summoned to the depths of Scotland for a Christmas-themed masquerade party. But all are hiding something deep below the surface that could make or break their careers.

Whodunnit Holiday
Revisado: 11-14-23
This was a fun and entertaining read. A classic whodunnit surrounding Christmas. I couldn’t stop reading it needing to know what’s next.
Narrator has a lovely voice and was a perfect choice for this story.
Overall, a great holiday thriller vacation book!

Historia
Charlie Reade looks like a regular high school kid, great at baseball and football, a decent student. But he carries a heavy load. His mom was killed in a horrific accident when he was seven, and grief drove his dad to drink. Charlie learned how to take care of himself—and his dad. When Charlie is seventeen, he meets a dog named Radar and her aging master, Howard Bowditch, a recluse in a big house at the top of a big hill, with a locked shed in the backyard. Sometimes strange sounds emerge from that shed.

Great story and wonderful performance.
It’s started out really strong for me and I was devouring it word for word but towards the end it kind of fell apart for me a bit. However, I did the the ending once upon a time, I got there.

Historia
Vampires have always lived in Eastern Europe. But with the fall of the Soviet Union, they began to spread across the continent, then the world, turning whole populations into vampires - or human cattle. Having overrun India, the far East, and the great cities of North and South America, the forces of Night are now spreading into the countryside to consolidate their conquest.

This started as interesting for me, but quickly dissolved. I wasn’t a fan of the writing. It felt like reading a tv script for a bad movie. Also…UNC. No. Just no. I did appreciate a different take on vampires as we typically get them. Not my preference, but I didn’t mind something very different.

I devoured this story. I loved every minute of it and have sincere hopes this gets made into a limited anime series!
Well played, great sound and performance. I highly recommend this to any fan of horror, sci-fi and especially vampires! I’ll be revisiting this story. The only thing- the ending. I guess it could end there as one of those you have to make up your own mind on what happens, but I’m hoping this is just a first installment.
To the reviews stating they don’t like the “sound effects” for those wondering; This is an audio drama which isn’t the same as a audio book.

Historia
Welcome to Derry, Maine. It’s a small city, a place as hauntingly familiar as your own hometown. Only in Derry the haunting is real. They were seven teenagers when they first stumbled upon the horror. Now they are grown-up men and women who have gone out into the big world to gain success and happiness. But the promise they made 28 years ago calls them reunite in the same place where, as teenagers, they battled an evil creature that preyed on the city’s children.

Revisado: 05-02-17
What did you love best about It?
I love the connections between the characters. Everything is connected in some form or another as the story unfolds for you. And of course; ITs super creepy, disturbing and keeps you wanting more. This will always be one of my favorite horror fictions novels.
What was one of the most memorable moments of It?
BEEP BEEP Richie.
Which character – as performed by Steven Weber – was your favorite?
Stephen Weber does an excellent job in this. The way he makes all these animated characters come to life for you is just superb.
Any additional comments?
I am eternal child. I am the eater of worlds...and of children. And you are next!
