The AI narrative is the worst!! Book would have been great except for that. There’s no feelings emitting for the characters, no sense of being in the book feeling part of it the way a book should be felt. No reflections in tone of voice. First and last AI book I’ll listen to.

Over dramatic

It was a jumpy story. The narrator was wrong voice for the storyline. One minute it was really young sounding then a forced low voice. Ki was so supposed to be soft for Grant but the bike chain around Grant’s throat during sex wasn’t at all the way I had envisioned. Rough play is one thing but Grant’s character was not set up to be into that from the way the story was going. Very disappointed in this book.

This was one of the most fascinating books of the Alex Cross series. Certainly didn’t want to break away from listening to whole book! Continued flow of story lines was nail biting!

Why did this Narrator stereo type the voices of characters in the book with a higher pitched sound once they came to grips with their sexuality? It was disappointing listening to it, especially since it’s so unrealistic. Having a child that recognizes themselves as bi and hearing this done was very disheartening for the slur.

Storyline

Very weak on the story. Not a typical Boxer book. Interesting after first couple chapters, simply was confusing on the pathway to main story. The ladies not having time for each other to get together was just non existent. The ending was lame.

The main character didn’t have the right narrator. He wasn’t able to bring the character to the place or tone of the writer. The woman who did the main female made her sound like a child. The writer made the female look like a stereo typical “ little woman “.
