Amazing
Revisado: 10-22-24
I absolutely love Kayla Stone. This series did not disappoint. I found myself shouting at the characters as I was driving down the road…the books had me hooked from the very start. I was almost disappointed when the story was over. Not because the story wasn’t good…it was amazing. Disappointed because I truly felt like I had become one with the book. Kudos on not another amazing listen.

Historia
Robert B. Reich makes a powerful case for the expansion of America’s moral imagination. Rooting his argument in common sense and everyday reality, he demonstrates that a common good constitutes the very essence of any society or nation. Societies, he says, undergo virtuous cycles that reinforce the common good as well as vicious cycles that undermine it, one of which America has been experiencing for the past five decades. This process can and must be reversed.

I really wanted to like this one
Revisado: 08-09-23
But the author reads it himself and makes up voices for each individual he speaks about. It’s very irritating. The content could have been so good. But instead he has fallen prey to the very political divide the book is supposedly about. You can’t expect people to come together and figure out the common good when you are polarizing half your readers. Polarization is the root of our problems. Along with greed. I so wanted to like this one. But I’m giving it a big thumbs down. Just another ranting from someone who’s pulled their political ideas into a book.

I love the Orphan X series so I just assumed this book would draw me in like Hurwitz’s other novels. But I found my mind wandering on more than one occasion. It just didn’t hold my attention. A little disappointed.

This entire series will have you on the edge of your seat. I found myself verbally cheerleading the characters along as the story twisted and turned to the very end. You will fall in love with these characters, and cry with some of them are lost. Great series. Get it. You won’t be disappointed.

This series is awesome
Revisado: 08-05-20
Even the little shorts...they are all so well written that when you are done you have that weird feeling you have after you open Christmas presents up on Christmas morning. You are excited but sad that it’s over. Every single one of these books are action packed and the characters are fleshed out yet still developing. Joey really shines in this short story. Can’t wait to see where the author takes the two of these orphans next.

Ending was very disappointing
Revisado: 06-23-20
This was an awesome book. All the way up to the ending. The characters and plot were well fleshed out. I was on the edge of my seat as it continued to build. Then...just when I felt the book was really getting ready to take the leap....it ended. Nice and tidy in one chapter. This book had so much potential. Why does an author take all that time to flesh out the plot then just stop?
