Hearing Jimmy Carter's voice again was wonderful. From a bipartisan perspective, Carter was a decent and respectable person. Hearing his personal background and his own assessment of his career was worthwhile.

I'm not normally a fan of historical fiction. This book has solid factual underpinnings incorporated into compelling scenes and dialogue. The protagonist is an inspiring historical figure. Robin Niles reads the book exquisitely.

Uninformed opinions and charisma are no substitute for facts and expertise. The desire for equality has been adulterated to assume that all opinions are equal, despite facts that dispute opinions.

The horrific story of slavery, told by a black freeman who was kidnapped and sold into slavery, is a sad chapter in our history. Man's inhumanity to man is given in excruciating detail. It was read by "virtual voice" which greatly lessened the listening experience with mispronounced words and flat affect.

I listened to this when it came out in 2008. The current version has a chapter added in 2017. I'm a big fan of Al Gore, and can still see his perspective, which may have a hint of bias. There is a lot said against George W Bush's administration and the added chapter gives criticism of Trump. Full of facts and figures, he supports his concerns well. Will Patton does a superlative job of delivering it all.

Yes. The title says it all. The author intelligently fails against those who believe majority rule determines truth. He decries that untruths are playing a powerful role in America.

This book is wonderful to read yourself and a fabulous experience to hear read by the authors. The chronicle of the family's year of eating locally, along with information about how food choices impact the planet, and recipes and meal plans is a thought provoking delight.

Part memoir, part history, part philosophical sociology, this book is wonderfully interesting - especially for any David Byrne fans. Andrew Harman does a wonderful delivery. Some of the content is technical, but informative.

As a nation, we tend to deify our Presidents who left a big footprint on the progress of our country. The author shows Lincoln's capabilities in making political allies and using political acumen in managing public opinion. His mistakes and personal shortcomings are in full view. The research for the book is solid and verifiable. The audible delivery by the author is perfect.
