Historia
She wants freedom. I just want her. But she’s not the girl I’m supposed to marry. She’s the back-up plan. Talk about messy. Her loyalty is to her family and her legacy. Obligation and honor. My loyalty? Well, now I’m not so sure where it lies. I want it to be with her, but she’s determined to make this marriage a business deal. I’m not into that. This whole time she’s been thinking she’s the wrong royal. Joke’s on her. We were the right match from the very beginning.

Virtual Voice
Revisado: 06-24-24
I hate virtual voice! I couldn't tell who was talking because the voice never changes it's monotonous tone! Each chapter changed from Theo to Emily, yet the voice didn't change inflection from man to woman! I realize it's cheaper to have a computer read the books, but real people can emphasize emotions that computers can't! Please bring back live people to read the story!

Historia
Ken Bishop needed to kill his siblings. Well, not all five of them. But at least three. Maybe four. He needed the money from his mother's estate to pay off his gambling debts, and he needed it in a hurry. So, he killed a sister. Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension agent Danny Carlisle investigates the murder, a woman at a nursing home with only days to live. A woman suffering from dementia. The family said the death was a blessing and the police wanted Carlisle to let it go, but Carlisle just could not let someone get away with murder. It just wasn’t right. Bishop knows it wasn’t ...

The story was very interesting and the plot was ingenious!
Revisado: 05-22-24
I DO NOT LIKE the computer 😒 doing the narrative! It cannot differentiate the proper use of a real person's emotions. Also, anything that has a period after a suffix, as a doctor or St. Paul, the computer acts like it's the end of a sentence and then there is a break in the conversation and it continues as if a new sentence is starting! Bring back real people!

Missing girls, no one missed. A small town with big secrets. The snow was coming down hard now, but she couldn’t feel it on her cheeks, her face frozen. She was thirsty and tried to scoop some up to put in her mouth, but her hands no longer seemed to work and her arms would not move. Rest. She needed to rest. Just for a moment. Durant lay back and closed her eyes, and the snow began to cover her, a blanket too cold to help, but there was no energy left to fight the fatigue. The last thing she was aware of was an approaching sound, something she had heard before in the night—the howling ...

The narrator is terrible! This is the second Alistair Maclean audio book I have heard with the same narrator and as far as I am concerned, he has no concept how to read a book, especially a book of Alistair Maclean's!

Oscar the cat has a very special skill. Adopted by staff members at Steere House nursing home when he was a kitten, the three year-old cat has presided over the deaths of more than twenty-five nursing home residents thus far.

Revisado: 02-14-23
I loved the book and even bought one for my bestie whose husband has Alzheimers. At first she thought it was just a book about cats, and she has two dogs . I told her about the book and she read it. She also said it was a good book! Ray Porter is an outstanding narrator and I listen to a lot of books he narrates.

Historia
In one of the most compelling combat narratives ever written, Staff Sergeant David Bellavia, an Army infantry platoon leader in Iraq, gives a teeth-rattling, first-hand account of 11 straight days of heavy house-to-house fighting during the climactic second battle of Fallujah. His actions in the firefight, which included killing five insurgents in hand-to-hand combat, earned Bellavia the Bronze Star, the Silver Star, and New York state's highest military honor, the Conspicuous Service Cross.
