Ai narration makes it hard to follow

It seems like the story could be ok. I am going to be giving up on it because the ai narration where everyone sounds the same jumping between characters and the lack of proper inflections is hard to follow. I hope they hire real people for audio books in the future and this isn’t a trend

I love this series it has such good characters and character growth. The performance is also amazing. When I am feeling down I listen to this whole series again because it is so good.

Great performance dumb princess

The performance was good. But the denseness and naivety of the princess was too much… I get the brainwashing bit, but it wasn’t portrayed well

Great story, some of the organizations weird in audio book format

I love this story. It started me down listening to first the entirety of this series, which only gets better. I like the humor and the world is built out nicely. The performance is also done well.

The only complaint is the production and who ever stitched this together should have made it clear when there was an extra chapter or a new book that is inserted in. It would be clear if this was physical, but it is poorly marked in the audio format. That’s not on the author or the performance of the voice actor, purely on podium audios production team so come on podium. You could have done better.

Too caught up in the descriptions

The story was an interesting concept. Although there were many points where it just got too caught up in the details of explaining the minute details that it actually derailed the story. It's like great there is a lot of vocab words here and you really want to drive this home and show you know how to extravagantly explain something, but almost to the point of boredom. I'm not sure where the world building took a turn for too much but it seemed to at some point and it just kinda dragged.

Gave up part way through

The production value is good. That’s the best you can say.

Other than that it’s a cute idea to treat an insurance agent like a hard boiled detective, but it really just comes drown to tired old tropes trying too hard and drowning in images of toxic masculinity masquerading a libertarianism.

So many adds

It seems like it would be fun and mindless to listen to but there are so many adds it is kind of unlistenable. I thought audible podcast were supposed to be add free.

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

This got put on my recommendation list because of listening to A. Lee martinez and Douglas Adams. Usually I am skeptical of the books it recommends, but I decided to give this one a shot. I am so happy I did because the story and the narration were just awesome! I hope this turns into a series because the world was pretty awesome, the characters were great, and there are still questions to be answered!
