Historia
It is freezing in the churchyard, even before the dead arrive. Every year, Blue Sargent stands next to her clairvoyant mother as the soon-to-be dead walk past. Blue herself never sees them - not until this year, when a boy emerges from the dark and speaks directly to her. His name is Gansey, and Blue soon discovers that he is a rich student at Aglionby, the local private school. Blue has a policy of staying away from Aglionby boys. Known as Raven Boys, they can only mean trouble. But Blue is drawn to Gansey, in a way she can't entirely explain.

Stunningly unique & heartbreaking lyrical writing

Would you consider the audio edition of The Raven Boys to be better than the print version?
he narrator had a deep and interesting voice. Will Paton yes the actor is the narrator of The Raven Boys. It was fun having an actor read the book, because he was willing to really put himself out there. It felt like he got into the characters mind, and acted out their emotions in a beautiful way. I obviously recommend the audio version because of that, but I liked the book either way.
If you have a hard time getting into a book that is a little mysterious and leaves you confused in the beginning (I promise it's meant to feel confusing at first) I would suggest the audio version because it's easier to get into that way.
If you are use to pushing through the confusion, I suggest curling up with a blanket, sit by a window, and grab a nice cup of tea or coffee (or both, I won't judge).
Who was your favorite character and why?
hey all will steal a different piece of your heart, and every individual part they individually fill make you whole and you can't live without all of them.
What about Will Patton’s performance did you like?
It was fun having an actor read the book, because he was willing to really put himself out there. It felt like he got into the characters mind, and acted out their emotions in a beautiful way
If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?
They fight and refuse to play with the cards life hands them, and making their own family.

Historia
Prosper is the only unexceptional Redding in his old and storied family history - that is until he discovers the demon living inside him. Turns out Prosper's great-great-great-great-great-something grandfather made - and then broke - a contract with a malefactor, a demon who exchanges fortune for eternal servitude. And, weirdly enough, 4,000-year-old Alastor isn't exactly the forgiving type. The fiend has reawakened with one purpose - to destroy the family whose success he ensured and who then betrayed him.

I know we aren't suppose to like demons.

What made the experience of listening to The Dreadful Tale of Prosper Redding the most enjoyable?
The plot to me was complex in a way that most middle grade books aren't, and it was awesome! Bracken did a great job giving young readers a story that was written in a way that was easy to follow, but had a story line that could rival some YA novels
What was one of the most memorable moments of The Dreadful Tale of Prosper Redding?
Bracken went into great detail with this book, and I loved it. I am a reader who craves detail. I know that sometimes too much detail can feel like information overload, but I didn't feel like that in this book. I think she gave the right amount of detail to set the atmosphere she was striving to reach. It set up a Halloween atmosphere that I craved, and made the book come to life.
Which character – as performed by Kirby Heyborne – was your favorite?
Alastor is hilarious and sassy, and if you need to know that's the way to my heart dear friends. He is high and mighty on his demon horse, and stares down on humans with his judging eyes. He doesn't understand why humans act human.
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
This book got me excited to read again. After having a personal tragedy in April I haven't been truly excited about anything reading wise. This book reminding me of how fun reading can be. You know that feeling when a book just makes you feel light and all your troubles melt away? Do you know when a book gives you joy and happiness like a little kid? This book gave me that again, and I will forever be grateful.

A fun read with crazy plot twists and epic ending
Revisado: 06-29-16
I really enjoyed this book. It was on point with the catty drama of high school, and the urban fantasy twist was so fun. I liked the twist and turns it had. I thought I had the ending figured out and assumed it was a predictable ending, but I was wrong!! The ending was a fun twist I didn't see coming. instantly downloaded the second book after I finished the first one. can't wait to see what's next!
