Historia
Five years ago Michael Graham betrayed the only person who ever really knew him. Since then he's made an art of hiding his sexual orientation from everyone. Including himself. So it's a shock when his past strolls right into the Harkness College locker room, sporting a bag of hockey gear and the same slow smile that had always rendered Graham defenseless.

A excellent audio naration!
Revisado: 02-26-17
Would you consider the audio edition of The Understatement of the Year to be better than the print version?
Probably yes!
How would you have changed the story to make it more enjoyable?
My major issues are that the pace was spread very unevenly and the final part is rushed unsatisfactory.
Which character – as performed by Teddy Hamilton and Christian Fox – was your favorite?
No favorite. After the first part I failed to understand Graham's cowardice and paranoia and why Rikker was so committed to him after everything that happened between them. However as the story progressed I started to understand Graham.
Any additional comments?
All in all, the story flows smoothly thanks to the excellent audio narration. Teddy Hamilton and Christian Fox did a great job.

Historia
A drifter since his teens, Jimmy Dorsett has no home and no hope. What he does have is a duffel bag, a lot of stories, and a junker car. Then one cold desert night, he picks up a hitchhiker and ends up with something more: a letter from a dying man to the son he hasn't seen in years.

A real beauty!
Revisado: 07-18-16
“Don’t wait. You got stuff in your life needs fixin’, you gotta fix it now, while you can.”
Rattlesnake by Kim Fielding is a realistically probable love story because of its depth and complexity of the main characters. This is not a story of love with electricity or fire and definitely not with cover-magazine types guys.
There are lots of people like Jimmy Dorsett, drifters, but nobody sees them. They lived in crap motels, under bridges and in empty buildings and when they die, nobody misses them. They're always running away from place to place.
Shane Little is former cowboy with a traumatic brain injury by a tragic accident in his past. He has a amazing huge family who stay behind him as a solid foundation.
“It began with a man alone in the wide, empty desert driving a decrepit old Ford with a dead man riding shotgun. But the tale progressed to two men together, alive and dancing and ready to establish their very own home. Jimmy was confident the ending was a long, long time away. “
Well, this is exactly what I want every romance to be like. It is a brilliant example how the simplicity could be a real beauty. This is one of the best books I've read this year. It was my first book by this author and definitely will not be my last

Captivating, emotional and very thought provoking
Revisado: 07-16-16
Brooke Morrison's story is truly captivating, emotional and very thought provoking .
A story for a rough live and struggles. Accepting yourself as a gay and trying to discover if God still loves you. Even accepting the cruelty of a mother's “love”. A toxic mother who constantly tears you apart. A dismissive mother who make you feel unworthy and a mistake of nature. After all, you can't exactly dump your mom and then jump online to look for a new one.
Now. The narrator, Andrew McFerrin, did a truly superb job, nails ever voice astonishingly.
I am so glad I read this remarkable book! Yes, it was a very heavy read with several moments stopping your breath but it is a powerful piece of LGBT fiction that need to be placed on the most visible spot on your bookshelf.
Thank you mother nature for giving a couple rainy days and thank you Mr.Witt for this penetratingly fascinating book!

The narrator did a truly brilliant job. BRAVO!
Revisado: 07-13-16
The Blinding Light is a beautiful story of two men who are so different.
Jake is the breadwinner for his three sisters and his mother. He is such a good big brother . "When life throws shit at him, he just grab a bat and start playing baseball". He was desperate for any kind of work. That's how he met his new blind employer.
Patrick had looked like rude, churlish, ungrateful, ill-tempered, arrogant, fussy, and completely anal about his house. He thought he’d never find someone he could love, and who would accept his disability without a fuss—and then along came Jake.
I especially adored the humor, chemistry and relationship between Jake and Patrick. My favorite part is the first one or the way main characters explored and gradually advanced to an intimate relationship.
The narrator, Jonathan Young, did a truly brilliant job. This guy was born exactly to narrated that book. Looked like he told the story of his life. I felt the emotions. Witty, romantic, compassionate, and heartwarming . He is the best fit for it. BRAVO!
Thank you Ms. Kaye for this absolutely captivating book!

Tons of hot sex scenes.
Revisado: 07-12-16
This story is a sweet, but there was no angst, no emotion, no excitment, no drama..... just tons of hot sex scenes. Speaking of, the sex was a little more graphically explained than I care for. I really love a slow build relationship which is our case, as well.
Jeremy Jameson hadn’t considered himself that he was anything other than straight. He had found that the type of person who enjoyed going to premieres and fancy dinners wasn’t the same type of person who enjoyed hanging out until he met Reg, who was full of ideas for adventures and new experiences. His past had consisted of being a athlete, a student, a stressed-out accountant, and, most recently, a bartender. Reg agreed to be Jeremy's pretend boyfriend for the next seven months as long as he was on a international tour. First of all, he had shown JJ what it means to have a real relationship, even if it's pretend, but as the months went by, Reg realized there was developing feelings for Jeremy that went beyond being a travel buddy. “The only pretending he was doing in the relationship was pretending it was pretend”.
I'd enjoyed reading( listening) this book but after I closed it ..... nothing. I'm sorry.... but just nothing. Next, Please!

Silas Mason has no illusions about himself. He's not lovable or even likable. He's an overbearing idealist, a radical bookseller and pamphleteer who lives for revolution...and for Wednesday nights. Every week he meets anonymously with the same man, in whom Silas has discovered the ideal meld of intellectual companionship and absolute obedience to his sexual commands. But, unbeknownst to Silas, his closest friend is also his greatest enemy, with the power to see him hanged - or spare his life.

Amazing, smoking hot and educational!
Revisado: 07-11-16
I love the second book in the Society of Gentlemen series by KJ Charles as much as I loved the first one. It is amazing, smoking hot ( It's just on the edge of my endurance. I'm not much of a fan of BDSM but I found the dom/sub aspect of the relationship fascinating and utterly on the context ) and especially educational.
This is a fictional romance, but based on the true events or the Cato Street Conspiracy was real ( according to author's note). What a connection between two completely different worlds.
Silas ran a bookshop that sold mostly political philosophy. His nights and evenings, except Wednesdays, were taken up with writing the seditious libels and attending meetings of the people who could no longer bear the stranglehold of the rich on England’s neck. He hated the aristocracy and especially one who let the people starve. On the other hand, Dominic was part of little wealthy private group which offered not only a space in which they could be honest, but also mutual protection. However, both of them strongly stand for their so different political beliefs.
As always Matthew Lloyd Davies was the perfect narrator for this book. Frankly, I'm addicted to his magnificent British accent voice.
The author did a great job at keeping me interested at the whole times. I highly recommend this to anyone that likes a MM historical erotic romance and I cannot wait to listen to the next!

Outstanding MM textbook!
Revisado: 07-04-16
What a surprise and tremendous pleasure! This was an intellectually and emotionally engaging book!
Without the doubt , this book is excellent, well-written, interesting, unusual.
All main characters and scenes were portrayed unbelievably realistic. Noting and nobody is in black and white. Shades of grey!
It's about the life of Martin and his major impact of three men. His emotional, personal and professional growth. A complex character whom I really liked. A newbie in the private equity field. He got these inconvenient crushes, which made him vulnerable and somehow charming. He had been committed all this time to the person who recognized him as a career–oriented, money-blind kid and sometimes delivering something more but …..
Francis is a powerful, intelligent and confident man of the edge. A fascinating enigma!A financial rock star!Temperamental but deserving of his reputation. Unbreakable but everyone has their limits. I hated him but I wanted more Francis!
This is a book that is pretty much about city people, city life.I's set in the financial world of City of London. One of the most vibrant financial center in world. London during a financial tsunami in 2008.
I I highly recommend you audible version narrated by Alexander Masters, as well. This British-authentic and sophisticated voice will give you so additional flavor.

#3.99 Stars!
#Junkie is my first book by Cambria Hebert. It's a nice but simple and unidimensional story.
I love a lot the whole sexual- exploring tension between Trent and Drew. Just best friends or more? So much feelings, emotions until that first kiss. What kinda chemistry they had? That first kiss would prove it!
I like that end with a cliffhanger , leaving me hungry for more. Trent enjoyed Drew's presence. His scent. The familiarity of his movements and the way he always ate the fries off his plate but he pushed the feelings down inside him because they scared him so much. Because he thought they were wrong.
“If you love me as much as you say you do, then fight,”
Drew challenged.
Overall, it was an enjoyable read and I'm glad I didn't pass it up!

Loving Kim Jae-Min isn't always easy: Jae is gun-shy about being openly homosexual. Ex-cop turned private investigator Cole McGinnis doesn't know any other way to be. Still, he understands where Jae is coming from. Traditional Korean men aren't gay-at least not usually where people can see them. When a singer named Scarlet asks him to help find Park Dae-Hoon, a gay Korean man who disappeared nearly two decades ago, Cole finds himself submerged in the tangled world of rich Korean families, where obligation and politics mean sacrificing happiness to preserve corporate empires.

It's touched something inside of me !
Revisado: 06-27-16
The story is a murder mystery and romance, focusing on the relationship between Cole and Jae-Min.
Cole is a private detective, who was a cop, meets Jae-Min, a Korean photographer, in regard to ongoing investigation of a suicide or a murder. Both of them had came with some heavy baggage. Cole struggled with trying to move on after the death of his lover and a betrayal. He is comfortable with his sexuality even though his family isn't.
Jae's story addresses many issues such as the Asian (Korean) culture and their strict views on family obligation and homosexuality.
There is a very good ensemble of supporting characters as well.
It should be noted that the narrator for this audio-book was phenomenal. I adored Greg Tremblay's narration. It's the best I have ever heard !
The author did a great job at keeping me interested at just the right times. I highly recommend this to anyone that likes a romantic suspense and I cannot wait to listen to the next!

OMG!!! It's completely blowing my mind for 12 h.!!!
Wesley Ryan was a veterinarian. He was over that douche bag of a cheating boyfriend. He was over taking shit from anybody.
Would he be in love with Travis Bennett and his three kids?
There wasn’t electricity or fire. Only pressure and warmth.
It wasn’t just the sex not at all or the butterfly feelings but
excitement of something stronger.
They kissed.
Animals slept.
They kissed.
The barn continued to stand.
They kissed.
