Not bad for a free novel

Picked this up for free with my membership and though it's the automated voice, when sped up it was a decent listen. The story is more of a short story and left a ton out as if this was an abridged version instead of an unabridged. Though if this were an abridged version I would like to read or listen to the unabridged version. With all this being said I give a 3 star review ovwr all.

Good morning, despite the virtual voice

Personally, I can handle the V.V. but it can not replace a good V.A. I found this book while searching for something in the genre when I discovered this novel. I decided that it was worth the listen despite the V.V. because it was included on my Membership. With the overall story being decent and the price I gave this novel a 4 star rating and hope they eventually get a GOOD V.A. to record this novel. I do recommend this novel.

Another great novel by Molly Harper.

I loved the Jane Jameson/ Half-moon Hallow, Naked Warewolf & the Mystic Bayou series by Molly Harper. I absolutely love how she world builds & connects her novels with out it feeling like an after thought or for fan fare. This new Novel/Series looks/sounds to be like it will follow her other Series in the regard of world building, suspension, romance, drama & action. I always feel so (for lack of a better term) good when I listen to her novels. I highly recommend this to anyone who loves a good in depth but no word vomiting fantasy/ supernatural romance novels. I will say that I LOVE & great appreciate that there are 2 narrators Amanda Ronconi (She does a lot of narration for Molly Harper's Audible novels) & Teddy Hamilton, as it not only adds to the immersion into the story but also helps my AADD brain to better focus. 😉 And I also can't wait to get more insight to the ghost & our ML & coven members. I hope this review helps & I may edit it later for a better review as I am aware this isn't the best if you're not acquainted with Molly Harper's usual writing style.

A great book even after 100+ reads/listens

I love this book & even the whole series. I have been reading & listening to the whole series throughout the last 20 years &, have read through or listened to each book at least 100 times, still enjoy them. These books are far more then a "children's book series" as they delve into series adult topics & societal issues we face still today. I highly recommend this series & recommend reading them while young and as an adult as, the messages & understanding change as the reader grows & matures just as these characters do. No matter your thoughts on the Author, everyone should read this series & with an open mind.

Great Storytelling!

I have loved all the Mystic Bayou books but this one had me shaking with laughter, smiling and even feeling hot myself at times. I am so happy that I was wrong in initially thought it was just gone be an ok & a good at best continuation of the series! I also recommend Molly Harper's Jane Jameson/Half-moon Hallow series & her naked wolf series. I am hoping that she continues on her massive world building as it's become one of my all time favorites.

Great story!

I loved this book but I had to listen to it at 1.15% speed because the narrator spoke very slowly, so much so that I personally disliked the book; although, I have read this novel before & knew I loved it, I still couldn't handle the slow, dragged out words & long pauses. If you find that it bothers you as well try speeding it up before giving up on this one because the story really is a great one.
