This should be under the horror section. You can “enjoy” this in two ways. First, read it now and look at it as a sorta Nostradamus warning for the next 3 years, or second, as a reference of how it all came crashing down afterwards. Either way, I hope the country survives it. The points in this book make sense. I always suspected Trump never wanted to win but instead strengthen his brand, this book just confirms it. A tragedy really. I could go on, but honestly I really don’t want too. Such strong irony in Trumps story, what began as an attempt to strengthen his brand, ends up tarnishing it forever...

You catch the drift...lets just say being an audible member since 2011, Joshua Dalzelle has been the only author I pre-order. What is already a great series is only elevated by Paul Heitsch's narration.
If you are stumbling across this review as a noob, take my advice, pick up Omega Rising and prepare for one hell of a ride. And when your done with those, and start needing a fix for great storytelling, slip-drive over to JD's Black Fleet series. Jackson Wolfe will not disappoint.
In this series we follow Jason Burke as he is unwilling forced to take control of his wild card ways, and accept responsibility of his own species. This whole series we follow his antics and fly by the hip approach to intergalatic responsibility. The Human Factor has double meaning to Capt Burke, with a heart-warming surprise at the end.
Regretfully for myself...I am all caught up with Mr Dalzelle's writing...I will be resorting to find a temporary fix until then. A plus side is that JD is not GRRM...writing comes quick.

Stumbling across this book was like...

finding out a new Star Wars movie was coming out cause it was such a big part of your childhood, but then kinda being disappointed with said movie...coming home, coming to terms that you're an old sh!t, then finding a this story, with lovable characters, great story, and such a great narrator that you develop your first man-crush. JD & Paul H are like Ben & Jerry, Snickers & ice cream, Tic & Tac, The Clintons & Scandals.
You WILL NOT be disappointed starting off on this epic series, a story that has all the beans, a great sense of humor, conflict, character development, and more, but most importantly, a door back to youthful imagination. And not in the fact of amateur writing, but the vigor and sense of enjoyment you had when first discovering the limit of your mind, then moving past it.
