Nice grouping of short story series. Fresh ideas about Bigfoot that don’t just repeat the same premises. Ai reader is better than normal, I barely cared it wasn’t human. I’m moving onto the next set of books 4-6.

Exhausting to listen to

Got to chapter 7 before giving up. I usually appreciate cultural teachings, but this was the slowest and most painful way. No story happening and so much awkward dialogue, which was negatively enhanced by ai reader.

I hope voice actors don’t get replaced by them.
About the book: sophomoric writing and needs a professional editor. But it’s not bad and I will read/listen to their other books since I enjoy cryptid nonsense. I bet it’s a better read than it was an audiobook.

Note to author: there are no brown or grizzly bears in Colorado. Not for a long time. Just black bears. I find that an important error in books about Sasquatch.

Not great writing. The point of their trip is to find proof of Bigfoot, but then they spend the whole time running and saying, “what was that creature?”
An hour and a half of what is this mysterious animal.
Not the worst way to fill background noise. But don’t expect to be enjoy it.

Way too long

Acting was decent. Story annoyed me a bit; for detectives, they weren’t very good at detecting. It’s frustrating when the characters are oblivious to what the author made clear is about to happen. And it was too long. Needs to be abridged of the unnecessary lingering on parts. Frankly, this should have been half the length and still got in all the same story.

If you’re American, you might get distracted that the story takes place in Germany but the actors have strong English, Scottish, and Irish accents. Of course that makes sense for the UK actors and listeners. Just a minor thing to keep in mind.

Overall, it was decent but left me feeling annoyed.

Nicely paced creature adventure. Much better than the first in the series about Bigfoot where I felt the writing was quite sophomoric. I found this to be a fresh take on the monster

Mediocre story.

Lame dialog. Unsatisfactory writing. Great narrator. I didn’t like it and won’t listen to it again, but it wasn’t awful either.

Do yourself a favor and skip the prologue. That part is truly a waste of a chapter with no real point or benefit to the story.

Wow. I couldn’t have enjoyed this more. Ten stars out of five. Great writing, great acting, great production. Exactly my kind of story, but the actors knocked it out of the park.

Nothing new

I’m not sure what others are raving about. It’s not a bad storyline, but it’s inferior to many other zombie series. I didn’t feel anything in the story was clever or unexpected. It wasn’t a masterfully crafted tale. It wasn’t particularly exiting or so addictive I couldn’t put it down. Things were predictable; an illogical plot with huge holes. Half way through, I was debating quitting due to strain from all the eye rolling.

As an American, it was extremely frustrating to listen to a befuddled and passive approach from Denmark and the EU (in this story). While you can’t expect the irrational amount of guns the US has, I don’t understand why the Europeans were doing nothing to defend themselves. Sports equipment? Yard tools? Anything? Nah, just run around and attempt to fight zombies bare handed.

I hope this was originally written in Dutch then translated. I would call the writing sophomoric if English is the mother tongue for the author. Some small things don’t make sense. Not a big deal, but did catch my attention.

It’s a deal for 1 credit. If you want something not too deep for thirty hours of listening then this would fit the bill. There’s good reason this is listed in young adult fiction rather than regular adult category.
