Historia
For a long time, no one pulling the strings in the comedy world thought that a woman over fifty from rural Tennessee could make it in the industry. But Leanne Morgan has defied the odds, reaching millions with her musings on hormones, low-rise britches, Weight Watchers, and her opposites-attract relationship with her husband, Chuck. In her charming southern accent, Morgan brings listeners inside her quest to find her voice after spending many years trying to figure out what that meant.

Laugh and Cry (in a good way)
Revisado: 09-25-24
I just love Leanne and was happy to preorder her book as soon as I could. Her life stories relate to so many people and I’m thankful she is able to share them. Everything she writes is a reminder that we all have dreams and God provides when the time is right. I would just melt if I ever met her and she told me I’m “precious” or “yummy” because she is the mom and grandma (one day) that I hope to be.

Like the first book, I just love to have bunch of story lines that come together. I love that this is a book about women supporting women with no shame or conditions. I just love Eliza and she made me LOL multiple times.

Historia
Award-winning Florida novelist Patrick Smith's first novel, The River Is Home, revolves around a Mississippi family's struggle to cope with changes in their rural environment. Poor in material possessions, Skeeter's kinfolk are rich in their appreciation of their beautiful natural surroundings. The river on which they live—with its food supply, steamboats, and floods—figures strongly in their lives as the source of life, change, and death. Though their life is a simple one, it's filled with friendship, loyalty, love, and compassion.

Patrick D. Smith’s first published book
Revisado: 04-14-24
As a fan of A Land Remembered, I have read other books that Smith wrote. I listened to this one because the tone and language is so important to telling the story that I couldn’t possibly capture that in my brain. The narrator did a great job speaking and telling the story the way it was written. How wonderful that we have a story teller like Smith to share the vivid scenes and stories of people who settled and loved our country and land way before we got here. ALR is one of my favorite books and I can tell the difference in his writing. The River is Home is not as thrilling or shocking as ALR but tells the story of river and swamp life. This is a beautiful story of how the world can change and how people survive through love and kindness to each other. And how it doesn’t have time for evil and hatefulness.

Just a Good and Kind Story
Revisado: 12-25-23
I loved that this book had plenty of story lines that all come together. There is drama and things that happen in life but nothing too crazy. It is nice just to have a story that has good people who do good things.

My favorite narrator writes!
Revisado: 11-11-23
I loved this book about a fictional narrator by an actual narrator of books. JW has one of my favorite voices and has read some of my favorite books. This is a great read with some fun ways of thinking how her life or the life of a narrator could be. After reading so many books I’m sure she learned how to hook a reader, bring to climax, and wrap up the story nicely. Well done!

Nice story about different types of people.
Revisado: 11-11-23
This was a nice story about how a mixup brings people from different backgrounds together. They find they are more alike than not. Funny parts are mixed in with some heavy topics. The overall story was predictable but good performance and narrator.

Two women develop a groundbreaking surgery: the Cesarean section. It's a highly dangerous procedure and the research is grueling, but even worse is the vitriolic response from men. Most don't trust the findings of women, and many can choose to deny their wives medical care. Already facing resistance on all sides, Nora is shaken when she meets a patient who will die without the surgery. If the procedure is successful, her work could change the world. But a failure could cost everything: precious lives, Nora's career, and the role women will be allowed to play in medicine.

Welcome to Correct Opinions -- the first show where every opinion is correct (in my opinion.) If you're just as annoyed as I am with the over-the-topness of today's social media crazed world then you're in the right place. Whether I’m riffing on trending topics, my experiences, your college roommates "small business" (we know you haven't sold a single t-shirt, Jason) or recurring segments such as "Another Dumb White Baby Name," I speak for us all on why people need to just do less. Let's take a deep breath, make fun of some people and enjoy some remedy through roasting. In a growing world of...

Historia
After Tova Sullivan’s husband died, she began working the night shift at the Sowell Bay Aquarium, mopping floors and tidying up. Keeping busy has always helped her cope, which she’s been doing since her eighteen-year-old son, Erik, mysteriously vanished on a boat in Puget Sound over thirty years ago. Tova becomes acquainted with curmudgeonly Marcellus, a giant Pacific octopus living at the aquarium. Marcellus knows more than anyone can imagine but wouldn’t dream of lifting one of his eight arms for his human captors—until he forms a remarkable friendship with Tova.

Very Funny Full Circle Story
Revisado: 09-25-22
I liked the ease of storytelling and the abrupt narration from Marcellus. He was such a great addition to the story. I went through and let my daughter listen to his clips because she loves using vocabulary like he does. I could only wish to ever communicate at that level.
