I tried y’all but it was just so bad. The writing, the characters, and sex scenes are just redundant. Whoever edited this book should be fired because it was way too long. I couldn’t finish it.

Now about the male narrator… it’s like the Hound from GoT meets Arthur Shelby from Peaky Blinders. Just awful. Not sexy at all, very gruff and creepy. Just no.

Poorly written

Overly dramatic female lead plus dialogue that reminded me of something a strange Gen Z A.I. bot would write. Top that off with not nearly enough spice, mostly just angst/lust, and you get a fairly boring poorly written story. Not sure why there’s so many good reviews.

I knew this would be a hard story to listen to, I lost my father when I was young and my brother to alcoholism. I have been a fan of Elvis since I can remember and I’ve been to Graceland. But I did not know much about Lisa Marie’s life other than what was said in the press. The book opens her up and shows you she was so much more. The good and the bad, she owns all of it. I particularly love how she did everything in her power to make sure her children knew they were loved. It is beautifully told by Julia, Riley, and of course Lisa herself. Be prepared, have tissues at the ready.

Huge fan

This is the second book I’ve listened to from this author and I have to say, I’m a huge fan. Her ability to create lovable characters, witty-dialogue, and romance (often enemies to lovers) is something special. The narrator she uses is also quite wonderful. I’m going to start following her work as well.

Annoying female narrator

Book was not bad. The sex scene dialogue is a bit try hard. The worst part is the female narrators voice. She’s has a baby voice and it gets super irritating.

Not a bad start

I liked the story a lot, it was not what I was expecting. My only complaint is the narrator’s pronunciations of certain words, she is British reading in an American accent but pronounced words like a Brit. She lacked over all emotion and read a story but she did not become the characters .

ABRIDGED!

I’m so mad at myself I impulsively bought this book for I realized it was an abridged version. It’s terrible and the new narrator is god awful too. Way to speed read lady. It carries none of the heart and soul that is a Stephanie Plum novel. It’s time to re-record these books full length PLEASE

What does that mean you ask? Well that’s the trope for this paranormal romance. 5 dudes on 1 chick. If you’re curious give it a go, it could be worse. The story is not half bad, just VERY much fantasy.

Sweet story.

I feel Ike Portia MacIntosh writes fantastic RomComs that could very easily be made into movies. They are sweet and there is sexy but it is not spicy. I’ll definitely keep listening to her books.
