Historia
In 2204, humanity is expanding into the wider galaxy in leaps and bounds. Cutting-edge technology of linked jump gates has rendered most forms of transportation - including starships - virtually obsolete. Every place on Earth, every distant planet humankind has settled, is now a step away from any other. And all seems wonderful - until a crashed alien spaceship of unknown origin is found on a newly located world 89 light-years from Earth, carrying a cargo as strange as it is horrifying. To assess the potential of the threat a high-powered team is dispatched to investigate. But one of them may not be all they seem....

I do not know which is worse, the story or the narrator
Revisado: 03-07-25
This is a horrible book. The story is like a observer, standing in the corner, taking notes, absolutely boring, and keeps shifting around without much explanation. The narrator is probably one of the worst I’ve encountered on Audible.

Historia
A country ripped apart with a secret that’s about to change the universe. For Corps of Discovery Explorer Bill Clark, exploring parallel worlds in the multiverse is all in a day’s work, so entering the Confederate States of America was easy. Leaving is a different matter. Being hunted by some of the most dangerous people on this alternate timeline, the small team of Explorers must use their wits, skills, and experiences to outsmart their deadly foes and get home. Even if that means leaving the secret of a new technology behind, one that will shift the balance of power. But Bill isn’t ...

…Other than to use a lot of racist commentary. The more I tried to listen to the book the more irritating it became. This author should be banned in my opinion.

Historia
Anders Bennett is a courier for a private security firm that offers, among other spy services, the covert transport of sensitive information. His job had been only modestly dangerous until he was tasked with transporting secret messages out of the White House – directly from the president – to foreign spies. When Anders and his boss finally unmask the information he is propagating through dark channels, they fear it is too late to stop what is about to happen to the world … "Sci-fi with Orwellian consequences ... the fate of civilization is at stake."

Idiotic and Clueless Story
Revisado: 01-06-25
I suffered through the story, or drilled on and on, just became more idiotic as it went on. The end was unbelievable, poorly thought out, the story of a crazy raving lunatic. The writer needs a really check and intervention.

Historia
For millennia, the Shaa have subjugated the universe, forcing the myriad sentient races to bow to their joyless tyranny. But the Shaa will soon be no more. The Dread Empire is in its rapidly fading twilight, and with its impending fall comes the promise of a new galactic order...and bloody chaos. A young Terran naval officer marked by his lowly birth, Lt. Gareth Martinez is the first to recognize the insidious plot of the Naxid - the powerful, warlike insectoid society that was enslaved before all others - to replace the masters’ despotic rule with their own.

Both the story and the narrator are absolutely horrible
Revisado: 10-10-24
I tried to keep listening to this story, but I could not get past the narrator, absolutely the wrong voice for narrating books. And then the story, just very offputting. Definitely do not recommend.

Historia
Most of my writing is in a series people seem to enjoy but there is a constant small crowd who say: I'd really like your take on an alien invasion story. Well this is for them. The bulk of the aliens come to Earth stories assume their vast superiority, sometimes invincibility. Sometimes they suddenly appear on the white house lawn dictating terms. I have yet to see one with them appearing at the Kremlin or Canberra which seems rather parochial.

Anti-American Tripe
Revisado: 07-10-24
The disrespect and poor caricature of Americans was very offputting. Especially when contrasted with positive views of Asian Indians. The draw of the story was poorly developed, thought out, and unconvincing. I’ve read worse. Do not recommend.

Historia
It was not the maiden voyage of the intergalactic prototype space vessel, merely a sixty-day test flight. The ship did not even have a name; she was merely called ONE, a designation without dignity. The skeleton crew participating her last “assignment” – that which would precede the actual mission – were derisively referred to as “crash dummies,” meaning they would be expected to step aside when the actual captain and crew assumed their rightful positions for the multi-year mission. Nothing was expected to go wrong. When the unexpected happened – when the ship lost the ability...

Looks like the book starts in the middle of a story
Revisado: 03-31-24
This book read as if it’s the second book or in the middle of towards the end of a story. I’ve spent nearly an hour listening and have no idea what’s going on because it feel like I missed the beginning of the story. I’ve now searched online, and it is clear. This was the first book of the series, just the author, forgot to include the beginning of the story, or maybe it’s a big secret. Absolutely waste of time. Hope the author has a day job, but this one sure didn’t start out well.

Historia
The year is 2380. The Intersolar Commonwealth, a sphere of stars some 400 light-years in diameter, contains more than 600 worlds, interconnected by a web of transport "tunnels" known as wormholes. At the farthest edge of the Commonwealth, astronomer Dudley Bose observes the impossible: Over 1,000 light-years away, a star...vanishes. It does not go supernova. It does not collapse into a black hole. It simply disappears.

Worst, narration, ever!
Revisado: 03-18-24
This book has to have the worst narrator of any book that I’ve listened to on Audible. I do not know if the story is any good, though with its communist or socialist party framework, it’s not off to a good start. Very dated and stilted, if that’s the right word, writing style.

Historia
The Yellowstone super-eruption has put an end to modern civilization. As cities and countries continue to fall, the colony of Rivendell in the alternate Earth known as Outland looks more and more like the only real hope for humanity. But life in Rivendell isn’t getting any simpler, either. Bill and Kevin continue to discover new worlds; the population continues to rise; winter is approaching; and everyone has their own opinion about how things should be run.

Revisado: 02-28-24
The story was unbelievable, reflected idiotic, poorly educated young people. Was this an attempt to show how stupid college kids are, how poorly they have learned about American history, common sense, etc.?

I really tried to listen to this…
Revisado: 11-28-22
… but had to give up, the book is so ridiculously shallow, and unbelievable, as to be cringe worthy. Maybe this author has other books that are better, but I sure had to stop at this one finally. I definitely do not recommend it for anyone that likes to read even halfway serious science-fiction.
