Can’t finish narration is grating
Revisado: 05-10-24
Ai may be fine for 10 or 15 minutes but I was getting drawn into what seemed like a good story and just can listen to the narration anymore.

Historia
After spending most of his 20s pursuing a career as a literary agent, John Hodgman decided to try his own hand at writing. Following an appearance to promote one of his books on The Daily Show, he was invited to return as a contributor. This led to an unexpected and, frankly, implausible career in front of the camera that has lasted to this very day, or at least until 2016. In this audiobook, Hodgman explores the strangeness of his career, speaking plainly of fame, especially at the weird, marginal level he enjoyed it.

If you love storytelling you’ll enjoy!
Revisado: 10-17-20
I’ve been listening to John’s stories and made up facts for years. He’s clever and funny but wish he was not so hard on himself 😀. These stories are personal and one or too a little embarrassing but so fun.

Historia
Have you ever wondered what it would be like to find yourself strapped to a giant rocket that's about to go from zero to 17,500 miles per hour? Or to look back on Earth from outer space and see the surprisingly precise line between day and night? Or to stand in front of the Hubble Space Telescope, wondering if the emergency repair you're about to make will inadvertently ruin humankind's chance to unlock the universe's secrets? Mike Massimino has been there, and in Spaceman he puts you inside the suit.

So good hearing from Mike himself!
Revisado: 04-29-17
This book was encouraging and uplifting, really what made it was Mike reading it himself.

Historia
Six-time Emmy Award-winning funnyman Tim Conway, best known for his characters on The Carol Burnett Show, offers a straight-shooting and hilarious memoir about his life on stage and off as an actor and comedian. In television history, few entertainers have captured as many hearts and made as many people laugh as Tim Conway. There's nothing in the world that Tim Conway would rather do than entertain - and in his first-ever memoir, What's So Funny?, that's exactly what he does.

Meh ... and NOT Tim Narrating!
Revisado: 11-05-16
What did you like best about What's So Funny?? What did you like least?
Tim and Carol should not be listed as narrators. They read very short entry passages. VERY disappointed.
The sorry is average. I love Tim, but the writing is a bit lackluster, and he thinks things are funny that are just average. Most of this could have been redeemed if Tim told the story and not some stranger.
I've rarely not been happy with an audio book. I can usually get something from everything, but this one is the first wasted credit.
What did you like about the performance? What did you dislike?
just blah

Not so hot
Revisado: 11-24-09
Being made into a TV series was the best thing for this book, other wise this story is weak and has no characters you care about. The TV show pretty much just uses names and location, other wise the story is very different.
Now, this story does have some similarities with Twilight, which I enjoyed a lot, but only in situation, not in any feeling that you get for these people.
The narration is good, and easy to listen to, but that said I will not be getting the sequels. not worth my credits.

Good look at the future
Revisado: 03-03-09
I very much liked the way the future is described, especially our social life on the internet and artificial life, however the story was a bit shallow and full of stereotypes. Clearly written for a sequel I will not read.
This is also a "young adult" book, but found it too course to recommend to my children.
