Historia
Recently engaged and deeply ensconced in her third year of surgical residency in Chicago, Emily Hartford gets a shock when she is called home to Freeport, Michigan, the small town she fled a decade ago after the death of her mother. Her estranged father, the local medical examiner, has had a massive heart attack. At the hospital, she finds her father in near total denial of the seriousness of his condition. He insists that the best thing Emily can do to help him is to take on the autopsy of a senator's teen daughter whose sudden, unexplained death has just rocked the sleepy town.

Historia
Ever since getting sober a few years ago, Allison Hilborn-Tatro has been dedicated to achieving what she calls "radical stability" in her life. She’s up before five each morning and asleep by nine every night. Her days as a family therapist and mother to one good-natured Labradoodle are orchestrated down to the minute, with little room for anything unexpected to barge in and knock her off the wagon. That is, until the death of a neighbor she barely knew leaves her in possession of his two orphaned Shih Tzus.

So boring
Revisado: 07-08-21
Makes you sad that someone lives such a mundane life. The narrator’s voice was calming but this book wasn’t worth the time

Historia
When I arrive unannounced at my husband's studio in need of a shoulder to cry on after hearing that my best student, Alex, has died, I see a pair of wineglasses drying by the sink, and my deepest fear is confirmed: my husband is having an affair. Most women would fall to their knees in tears and throw him out of the house - but I just can't bring myself to do it. Instead, I go home and cook a healthy dinner for our children, walk the dog, and unload the dishwasher without complaint. I need this marriage to work to protect a terrible secret of my own....

Annoying dumb main character
Revisado: 05-06-21
The story has potential and the narrator was good but the main character kept being so stupid....I only listened to a few chapters but I couldn't stand the constant mind chatter of the character: "maybe I won't get caught for covering up a death, maybe my husband isn't cheating, maybe I won't get caught for stealing someone else's work".... that kinda thing just annoys me.

Not as good as the show
Revisado: 05-04-21
Joe is much less likable when you hear his every thought and the one he falls for this time I just find so annoying and weak. She plays a martyr for everyone in her life and I just find her so boring. Maybe the show is better but other than the awesome author I think the book was rather dull

I have to say I’m pretty darn good at guessing endings and although I guessed almost every aspect of this book I still found it to be so entertaining with the reader and her accents as well as the fast pace.

Adam and I are both going through identity crises of epic proportions as we transition from who we were and discover who we were meant to be. More Fae are dying, and I feel as if time is running out for us to find all of those responsible and put an end to the killings. The people I thought I could trust have betrayed me, and the one person I should absolutely not trust is taking me deeper and deeper into his world.

Not as enticing as the first
Revisado: 12-23-20
Have to say this book seemed like filler, just being lead on by the writer but not really going anywhere. The ending was predictable and abrupt; this would have been hella annoying had I not assumed I knew exactly what was going to happen in the third book.
The voice of Ryder changed too and it was new males voice that just sounded like fingernails on a chalk board to me. Possible *spoiler alert * It was clear to me from the very first mention of tests and nausea what Cyn had going on, and I thought it was irritating that this was supposed to be a big surprise at the end. I also feel I know what will be the big surprise in the next book seeing the Hoard king is beautiful, deadly and gentle with Cyn. I hate when books turn out like Hollywood flicks.

Disappointing
Revisado: 10-20-20
The first five chapters seemed to reiterate the same info over and over and over, I found this incredibly annoying. I was so close to giving it 2 stars cause I myself saying “seriously? I know already, move on!”. Dogs aren’t people, got it. The book does have some good insight into a dogs psyche and tips, like how to approach a pup but I just think Cesar takes all the love and joy out of owning a pup and turns it into a domination chore. He also doesn’t provide much in the way of what TO DO, only what not to.

Historia
Lonnie Derringer is a filthy-mouthed, dirty-talking, long-distance fling. (That's been going on for two years.) I know, I know. That's not a fling. This might be getting serious. I look forward to our quickie lunch dates and the way he whispers in my ear every night from 2,000 miles away. He's the best boyfriend I never had. Until I find out his name isn't Lonnie, it's Alonzo. Until I find out he's not some boring accountant with a dead-end job, he's a six-foot-four, yoked-out, tatted-up fisherman who never wears a shirt!
