Another great novel! Suspenseful and more than a couple of surprises! And a great cliffhanger at the end!
We also loved bringing it to New England. Alaina did as fantastic a job of portraying the character of Salem & of the Berkshires as she did New Orleans in the first book. Can’t wait for the next installment!

Another great work by Franklin Horton. If you’ve read/listened to the rest of the series this latest installment is full of everything you already love…. The action, intrigue and anticipation! But it takes an unexpected turn at the end! Excited to see where this goes!
If you haven’t read this series you really should. Franklin delivers an engrossing story every single time.

The long awaited next installment in a great series. It doesn’t disappoint! Action… Emotion… and a healthy dose of the reality that is likely if the manure hits the oscillating device. The entire series is worth a listen!

Another great installment in a great series!

Loved it! You won’t be disappointed by this title or the series. If you haven’t read the entire series don’t let it stop you from reading this book first. All his books stand quite well on their own. Although it is fiction, if you keep up, even remotely, on current events, this book, and the entire Mad Mick series, draws so well on those current events that it leaves you wondering how much is actually fiction! His style and pacing, which is a great mix of engaging action and character/story development, makes it very easy to become immersed in the story and invested in the witty and multidimensional characters.
He also does a great job of leaving me looking forward to the next installment. I’ve been a fan of The author’s work for some time and it just keeps getting better and better.

A great pause in the action!

What I really love about A. American’s work is that he puts in the work to develop characters and their travails as the work to start over, and not just make everything constant gunfight to gunfight. It really deepens the reader/listener’s connection to, and emotional investment in, the characters and the story. Love this series! And Duke Fontaine brings it to life with consistent excellence! Well worth a listen!

Another home run by Franklin Horton!

I wasn’t sure what to expect with the Ty Stone series when Franklin Horton first released it, as it’s a departure from the genre I’m used to reading from him. But as usual, Horton’s characters came out swinging and IMO he hit a home run with the series and this installment in particular. It’s addictively engaging with a plot line will get any rational person’s blood boiling. It’s got more than its fair share of action, but also a lot of insight into the vicious world of human trafficking. And Kyle Tait did a fantastic job of voicing the various characters. He comes across with smooth transitions and a quality to his voice that’s easy to listen to.
As with most of Franklin’s works this was a tough one to put down.

An excellent adaptation!

Spooner’s work is brilliant and something all should understand. And Parham’s narration brings the work to life with enthusiasm and clarity. This audiobook is worth every penny!

In a very plausible story, A. American has created a great cast of characters and Duke Fontaine brings them alive! Entertaining and educational.

Book 3 in the Mad Mick series is a blockbuster of post-apocalyptic fiction! Non-stop action, a believable story and great characters! Franklin has a great writing style that keeps you on the edge of your seat and Kevin Pierce’s narration skill is outstanding! His ability to change tone and inflection for different characters while maintaining consistency makes you feel like you’re actually listening to the characters themselves. Well worth a listen. I loved it!
