What’s not to like? Roman is a great character in the Kate Daniel’s series. I love to see what he’s up to. This really shows he’s character and makes you want more. A little bit of the kids of magic he can do and his relationship with his God. How he feels about people and relationships. Can’t wait to see what’s in store next for Roman.

I choose this book for Dean Koontz. I was expecting “odd Thomas” a mystery thriller, this is not that genre. Although, it was his great writing the story was very different. A great story told by the man who lived it. The story of a life of one of the city’s people.

Young Love

I liked that this is based on her story. That there are ups and downs and real things happen. A coming of age that acknowledges that who we are at 15 isn’t the same person we are at 30. That we change and we grow that we can love at 15 wholly and still find a new love later in life.

Fun Story

This is a fun story but the FMC is a little scattered at the beginning. She is helping her uncle but things happen changing her path. While trying to figure out what happened she seems to miss some key things. But it finishes strong and is a fun listen. The narrator does a great job and brings the story to life.

Hated it….Liar….

Slater starts this book off with the end of the story. As I listened to Judys story with her husband and son David and the grandchildren. Ben meets a woman who he falls for and she begins the process of removing Judy from their lives.
You want to empathize with Judy the grandmother and how she is loosing her son and grandson. You see her relationship with her husband as the struggles appear.
You get to know Amber and her goals. But in the end you see how it all comes together.
I love the twists and turns and the way my heart races and stomach turns as I get to know the characters. And I love that I hate the ending because it was a fantastic end.
I love listening to her books and all the suspense she brings. The twists and unexpected things that happen.

Brooklyns battered heart

Brooklyns story begins as she goes to live with her uncle after her mother has just passed away. She attends a prestigious school with wealthy children. She struggles to fit in and make friends when tragedy strikes again. Then she is thrust into a new dilema. This book ends on a cliff hanger but is part of a 3 part set.
Brooklyn is 15 and in high school and her character reflects that. She behaves like exactly what she is. Not sure what the next book will bring but this one is not an unrealistic representation of someone her age.

Enter the replacement band mate. After the death of their former band mate the get a replacement who is female. Three single guys and a cute girl… drama and sexual frustration ensue. Plot twist and the end although upon reflection I should have anticipated it. The characters were a little sophomoric but I still enjoyed listening.

This may be the first series I don’t finish

First off I didn’t realize this is a MM romance series. It has some original ideas and plots. Although not my traditional genre I decided to continue after book one. By book 3 I was starting to feel bamboozled. By book 5 I was over it. It’s the same book only the names and locations have changed. Sadly disappointed.
