Historia
On his last combat deployment, Lt. Cmdr. James Reece's entire team was killed in an ambush that also claimed the lives of the aircrew sent in to rescue them. But when those dearest to him are murdered on the day of his homecoming, Reece discovers that this was not an act of war by a foreign enemy but a conspiracy that runs to the highest levels of government. Now, with no family and free from the military's command structure, Reece applies the lessons that he's learned in over a decade of constant warfare toward revenge.

Picks up where last book left off - spoiler alert - it wasn’t a cliff hanger but certainly had unfinished business.

Historia
In 10 riveting episodes that feel like a fast-paced thriller, acclaimed World War II historian Edward G. Lengel’s Generals and Geniuses: A History of the Manhattan Project brings the origin of the atomic bomb - and the scientific minds behind it - to vivid life. Did the Manhattan Project, and the remarkable weapon it produced, save millions of lives at the expense of the tens of thousands who died in Hiroshima and Nagasaki? And was there any way to prevent this technology from unleashing the horrors that still hang over us today?

Doesn't wrap it up - but close
Revisado: 06-30-20
I waited quite a long time for this to appear on audible. I wish more of the books I enjoyed added additional chapters like this series which seemed to find a way to knock off the likable favorite characters repeatedly while the story line progressed. End to end a page turner and not predictable but enjoyable.

It's no wonder that he is despised by cops, prosecutors, and even some of his own clients. But an investigator is murdered for getting too close to the truth and Haller quickly discovers that his search for innocence has taken him face to face with a kind of evil as pure as a flame.

Very similar to Bosch books
Revisado: 01-25-20
After watching Lincoln Lawyer movie on Amazon, I wondered if this was somehow comparable to the book. The book is far better and the movie aligns loosely to the book. The book is better. In addition to the complete Bosch series, now I will seek and listen to this complete series.

Sweet story makes me rethink my kids relationships
Revisado: 01-25-20
I found myself smiling and stopping my car as the story was told so I could listen more intently. The story is sweet in a way only a father can anticipate as they watch and enjoy their child growing, learning and coming into adulthood. The exploration of the sport of climbing is a metaphor for how we relate to our children. Thank you for a great book and I look forward to more from this author.

Traditional formula that works as love unfolds
Revisado: 01-01-20
A very traditional formula that could have been placed in any 50's black and white film staring Cary Grant (picture him as the male lead Kennedy or what it Ryley)? In any event, the formula worked, the authors offered humor and drama mixed with an unfolding advice columnist that spoke the truth. Very enjoyable story at the right pace. I hope to hear more from the combined authors. Great work.

Both Book 1 and 2 read well
Revisado: 08-21-19
Both book 1 and 2 were a good story with many similar issues as Holding Their Own and One Second After - generally a good read with a few inconsistencies. This was my first experience with this author and it made me hungry for some if his other works. characters were well developed and story consumed my two hours of drive time each day and wanting more.
