Historia
Following her near-death experience as shared in the New York Times best-seller Dying to Be Me, Anita Moorjani knows well the truths that exist beyond common knowledge and acceptance. The clarity she has gained has led her to further understand who she was born to be. Part of that truth has involved contemplating the cultural myths infused into our everyday lives. Mary’s knowledge of the family dynamics makes this book a super interesting look at the Trump Dynasty. Being a psychologist really helps the narrative and her insights are very enlightening. Definitely worth reading.

I almost didn’t publish Love Yourself Like Your Life Depends on It. Here I was, a CEO who’d fallen apart after his company failed, writing a book about how loving himself saved him. I thought I’d be a laughingstock and my career would be finished. But I stepped through the fears and shared my truth with the world. The book went viral. Amazing people all over bought copies for friends and family. For some, this book saved their lives. For others, it was the first time they ever loved themselves.

Indeed. I’ve listened to it twice so far. I started doing the breaths as soon as I heard you describe them. It was like realizing I had been holding my breath my whole life. I haven’t started the rest of the practice yet but I did forgive myself today when I wouldn’t have yesterday. ..thank you.

James A. Michener's masterly chronicle of South Africa is an epic tale of adventurers, scoundrels, and ministers, the best and worst of two continents, who carve an empire out of a vast wilderness. From the Java-born Van Doorn family tree springs two great branches: one nurtures lush vineyards, the other settles the interior to become the first Trekboers and Afrikaners.

Reader is not as bad as everyone says
Revisado: 04-16-17
I read a lot of reviews that excoriated the reader Larry McKeever. I listen to this entire book and I enjoyed his reading so I guess each to his own. If you refuse to listen to this book because of some reviews about for performance, then you are missing out.
This book and the storyline is majestic, amazing, beyond understanding, and he does an outstanding job at painting the picture of South Africa and its development.

Historia
April 16th, the year is 1963. Birmingham, Alabama, has had a spring of nonviolent protests known as the Birmingham Campaign, seeking to draw attention to the segregation against Blacks by the city government and downtown retailers. The organizers longed to create a nonviolent tension so severe that the powers that be would be forced to address the rampant racism head on. Recently arrested was Martin Luther King, Jr.... It is there in that jail cell that he writes this letter; on the margins of a newspaper he pens this defense of nonviolence against segregation.

MLK was an absolute genius and his time. Without him the civil rights movement of our fellow African-American citizens would never be where they are right now, which isn't saying they are where they should be, but his work was masterful! He is a wizard with the pen and written word. A must read especially for the times we are going through right now in removing the last of the chains binding our black brothers and sisters. American justice will prevail!

Story good, recording not so much.
Revisado: 03-25-15
I always love Jane Austen's writings. Furthermore I really enjoy a story read out loud by a good storyteller.
This recording has, in Jane Austen's words, very little to recommend itself. There are several overlaps of words and sentences which really interrupts the flow of the story. The most irksome part of the recording is the pitch of the readers voice. Well she does excellent most of the time at correct inflection of the character, the rise and fall are too drastic making the low part difficult to hear when you have the volume set for the words with emphasis. On the other hand to accommodate the high tones you have to keep the volume turned down so it doesn't blast your ears.
