Historia
Matthew, they thought, was just going through a phase of talking to himself. And, like many parents, they waited for him to get over it, but it started to get worse. Mathew's conversations with himself grew more and more intense—it was like listening to one end of a telephone conversation while someone argued, cajoled and reasoned with another person you couldn't hear. Then Matthew started doing things he couldn't do before, like counting in binary-code mathematics. So he told them about Chocky—the person who lived in his head.

Pretty good
Revisado: 03-08-25
I am a fan of Wyndham’s work and while chocky is not his best work, it was decent and had some interesting elements. I was not super convinced by the true identity of Chocky but it was interesting enough to listen to. The story was told from the perspective of the boy Matthew’s father and so a lot of the conflict is told second hand.

Revisado: 03-08-25
I enjoyed it. I like Sumidas writing and the knave of hearts was an adorable character. Alec is ok too, but sort of…a bit Normal. Can’t wait to read more.

Boring
Revisado: 02-14-25
I thought the reviews looked good for this but it was boring. I lived through the 80’s
I did not care that the protagonist idolized the era. Plus reading about gaming stuff is sort of boring to me. I want real action not virtual reality. Wil did his best to try to squeeze some life into it though.

Good
Revisado: 02-13-25
I enjoyed it, although Julian's secret went on a bit long. There got to be a point where I just wanted him to tell his mentor, but of course, they dragged it out to the very end. There is a certain Harry Potter feel to the whole story in hindsight which I did not notice at the beginning. There are complaints on Amazon that the story is totally AI Generated. I can't say for sure, but some parts felt disjointed and not consistent.

Annoying protagonist
Revisado: 02-04-25
The main character was an annoying Gary Sue, with a weird attitude. I don't mind powerful heroes but the chip on his shoulder is gross manosphere lecturing.
The covers of these are embarrassing as well.

Eh
Revisado: 04-16-19
Nothing romantic in this for me. It is very short, about a man who hoped to seduce his ex with a nice dinner, only to be defeated by the arrival of a house guest and a winter flu. Although the two men do manage to reconcile, it was a rather boring romance, because the characters don't spend enough time together.

Historia
The world ends not with a bang, but with a downpour. People rally at first - organizing aid drops and evacuating populations - but the weather is only getting worse. In Durham, mild-mannered academic Danny Fennick has battened down to sit out the storm. He grew up in the Scottish Highlands, so he’s seen harsh winters before. Besides, he has an advantage. He’s a werewolf. Or, to be precise, a were-dog. Less impressive, but still useful.

Alpha Jerk love interest
Revisado: 03-25-19
I thought Jack the love interest of the hero was a brute, who just threw his weight around, and treated his boyfriend Danny like he was a commodity there to please him. Although I found the world building interesting, I couldn't overcome the fact that I grew to detest Jack and his thuggish family. I couldn't finish this one.

Historia
Dr. Dylan Reinhart wrote the book on criminal behavior. Literally - he's a renowned, best-selling Ivy League expert on the subject. When a copy of his book turns up at a gruesome murder scene - along with a threatening message from the killer - it looks like someone has been taking notes. Elizabeth Needham is the headstrong and brilliant NYPD Detective in charge of the case who recruits Dylan to help investigate another souvenir left at the scene - a playing card. Another murder, another card - and now Dylan suspects that the cards aren't a signature, they're a deadly hint.

Narration exellent, story got old real fast
Revisado: 11-05-18
I liked the main character, but the romance was terribly predictable and the love interest that bad boy controlling type people seem to like. Not me. I got tired halfway through and barely made it to the end.
