Historia
When the vital forge world of Orestes comes under attack by a legion of Chaos Titans, the planet is forced to appeal for help. The Titans of Legio Invicta, although fresh from combat and in desperate need of refit and repair, respond, committing their own force of war engines to the battle. As the god-machines stride to war, the world trembles, for the devastation they unleash could destroy the very world they have pledged to save.

A lot of T'au lore to carve their own place in the grimdark.
Great scenes in this.
Different narrators for T'au and Imperials which is awesome.
Lots of references to Damocles.

Historia
The scattered worlds of the Elara's Veil nebula were once protected by the oath of unity sworn by three mighty Chapters of the Adeptus Astartes. The Star Scorpions were undone by flaws in their genetic coding. The Celestial Lions were ravaged by the Inquisition for sins they did not commit. Now, after hundreds of years, only the Emperor's Spears still keep their vigil. They are barbarian watchmen against the Outer Dark, bloodied but unbroken in their long duty.

Prince of Crows is one of the best shorts in the Heresy.
My only critique is that I do not think that is how Sevetar would sound.

Historia
Recalled from the Great Crusade after Ullanor, Rogal Dorn and the VIIth Legion were appointed as the Emperor's praetorians - but only after the Warmaster's treachery was revealed did the full extent of that sacred duty become apparent. Now, the Solar System comes under attack for the first time since the war began, and many of the seemingly impregnable defences wrought by the Imperial Fists prove inadequate. With all eyes fixed firmly upon this new threat beyond the gates of Terra, who in turn will protect Dorn from the enemy within?

Historia
Legends abound of the glorious - or infamous - deeds of the emperor's sons. Yet almost nothing is known of Alpharius, the most mysterious of them all, for the lord of the Alpha Legion is unparalleled in the art of obfuscation. Such are his gifts of secrecy and deceit that even his rediscovery has remained an enigma - until now. But when the tale comes from the serpent’s mouth, where do the lies end and the truth begin?

Narrator Ruined This Book
Revisado: 09-29-20
I read every HH novel before getting it on audible and when I first started listening to this I could not believe how terrible the audio was. This book delves into one of the most complex legions and their primarch to only be completely ruined by bad narration.
Jonathan Keeble and Toby Longworth are the only two narrators qualified for anything Warhammer.
Seriously, do not listen to this if you loved reading this book and the complexities of the Thousand Sons.

Any chance of survival now requires sacrifice, but what battles dare he lose so that others can be won? Is there one tactical stroke, one crucial combat, that could turn the tide forever and win the war outright?

FINALLY ABNETT RETURNS
Revisado: 09-29-20
I was beginning to worry there for a little bit. The first few siege books really worried me, but the only thing I can really say is in any way critical of this book is that the Dramatis Personae is really needed to fully understand this book. While there are scenes that verge on overtaking the absolute masterpiece that is Betrayer, it is bogged down by unknown characters that we should apparently know very well and what their motivations are.
Abnett and ADB are two of the best writers for the Black Library and it shows in their writing as when a narrator reads their books, it only becomes better. Abnett is the detail king, while ADB can imagine scenes that will make you say, in the words of Geralt of Rivia, "Fuck."
Also having a female voice actor was an extremely strong move as it enhanced the immersion of the scenes INCREDIBLY well.
Honestly first good book of the Siege of Terra. Really wish they would have done different voices for some of the traitor primarchs but not really a deal breaker.

Who let them publish this?
Revisado: 09-29-20
Having cut my teeth on Tanith and Eisenhorn, this is the worst warhammer book I have ever read. I think someone pointed this out already but a space marine chaplain giving away his BADGE OF OFFICE TO A LITTLE GIRL is just negligent.
Buy this book if you like cannon armor, overacting, and ludicrous context.
