Love it

I really loved this story a lot. I think maybe the author doesn’t understand what prey animals are, but it’s only mentioned a couple times so It’s really not as bothersome as it is in my own head. I absolutely love the fact that she upgraded narrators. John Solo does a much better job than the narrator she used for other series. Well, I need to know what happens, so on to the next one!

One of my favorite series

I love this entire series. I love the story, I love the narration, and I don’t say that about a lot of series. This one exceptionally good in every category. This is the last book in the series and I think the ending is pretty perfect. I’m going to miss Bo and Lucky but I’m sure I’ll be revisiting this series.

The story is really good, but the narration is really bad. There are many times when sentences are repeated, and within the last hour there are entire sections repeated. There is also a section in the last hour where there are pauses where words have removed. And once where a repeated paragraph was thrown in at a random spot. It wasn’t all editing problems either. It seemed like the narrator didn’t much care about the story or about giving the characters different voices. It’s a shame the narration was so bad because the story was really good.

Omg, I love it

The story is wonderful, the characters are wonderful, the emotion is wonderful, and the narrator is wonderful! I’ve been in such a book slump lately and nothing has been able to hold my attention until I started listening to this! It hooked my attention right away, and it didn’t let go.

I’m so mad at this book

I’m only giving this three stars because it was entertaining enough to finish listening to. At first I was just mildly annoyed because the story jumps from one thing going on to another without anything bridging it together it was just “oh, now their doing this?” Also I’m still confused over Kevin’s father. Is his name Himself? Or was I just not hearing it right? Also, the issue between him and his father is resolved way too easily to feel realistic. I only became a fan of the father when he points out to Kevin that actually yes, he has been domestically abused. What infuriated me was that after that there was no more mention of the issue, in fact several interactions after that seemed abusive as well.
I ended this book hating one of the main characters.

Perfect

This story is heartbreaking, and beautiful, and perfect. I didn’t think it was possible to get such a huge book hangover from such a small story. It’s amazing talent to fit so much emotion into a story so perfectly. The narrator does such a great job bringing all that emotion to life. I don’t have enough words to describe how beautiful this story is.

I like Jon and Donovan so much

I love these characters and I love the story. I have mixed feelings about the narrator but I found it hard nor to compare him to Kenneth Obi who narrated the first book. I miss the deep rumble that Kenneth did for Donovan. This narrator gives the same voice to every character. It’s hard sometimes to tell Jon and Donovan apart, and while I can say that this narrator did a much more natural sounding southern accent than Kenneth did, not all the characters are meant to have southern accents. I do very much like the way this narrator changes the voice when the voice is being heard through the phone.

Good story

The story is super good, interesting, and the author does great world building.However there were things that seemed a little unbelievable. Lee is smart and highly educated, yet he knows so little about the world, even in his own district. Second, we meet Roman in the beginning of the story and then we don’t see him again until the end. There is very little interaction between the two.

Omg, I don’t have words to describe how much I love this series. I love Bo and Lucky and the journey they’ve gone through. Eden is so good at making her stories well written and her characters are so well developed. I absolutely love seeing how much further they come with each story. She knows how to keep things exciting as well. Not one moment is boring, and even though there are a couple of predictable moments, there are still several plot twist that totally took me by surprise. Darcy Stark does such a great job with the narration too. I really cannot imagine anyone else being more perfect for the voices of Bo and Lucky.
