I LOVE this author, BUT...

I read this book on kindle, paperback and audible it was first released, but listening to it now on re-release, virtual voice was definitely not a good listen. It takes nothing from the author, as I will continue to support her, but virtual voice with it's lack of inflection and mispronunciation of slang and verbiage was extremely disheartening.

While I love the story line and the author did a GREAT job, but the "editor" wasn't so good. The words kept getting cut off making me have to guestimate the remaining word/words. I don't think it was the narrator's who cause this playback issue but either way...

What disappointed you about The One That Got Away?
I truly don't believe that my download IS REALLY The One That Got Away. The story line is about fishing and a man named "Howell" going through some life changes after being fired from his job as an editor and spends his time fishing. (Nothing like the summary.)
Would you ever listen to anything by C. Kelly Robinson again?
Yes, but again, I don't believe that this is the entitled book.
How could the performance have been better?
It would have been great if it had followed its description.

Disappointment and boredom. Completely uninterested.

I have been listening to this audible book for almost two hours and I have not heard NOT ONE character or even information about the book. I have read and listened to other books by C. Kelly Robinson, but this is NOT one. Its about a man obsessed with fishing. It's crazy and completely uninteresting. Nothing and I do mean NOTHING has been quoted about anything listed in the summary. I think that Audible has screwed up my download and I am VERY unhappy about it. This book is boring and I am really disappointed. I don't care about fishing or places to fish or even the man named "Howell" that they are talking about. How is the world can I get his mess fixed!? If I could rate this foolishness less than one star believe me, I would!!!
