Whitney uncovers all the history that has been covered up since the murder of Joseph Smith in 1844. If you want to know the whole truth of Joseph Smith and especially if he was or wasn’t a polygamist, read/ listen to this book.

The virtual narration is very good, but not as good as if it was narrated by Whitney herself.

No evidence whatever supports the author's assertions. Sadly, this fictional rewrite of African history is the right-think version all must enthusiastically embrace.

Good lightweight introduction to Enoch. But the narrator doesn't pronounce biblical terms the way they are most commonly pronounced.

Lumpkin like most religious scholars thinks this is fiction because he cannot imagine Jews had the same structure and organization prior to Jesus' birth. Hey, Audible editors and writers: Will you please stop with the heavy, sober, somber or overly dramatic narrations for anything considered religious. The content can stand on its own.

The narrator's performance is so distracting, the content cannot be heard. This narrator could make the Gettysburg Address unintelligible. The narrator has a gift for delivering each word with exactly the same level of excessive annunciation that "Part 2" sounds as dramatic as "holy angel" with each word taking exactly the same amount of time to over-pronounce. For instance, the word "day" is pronounced by this narrator with a prolongated sustain as if he had a sustain pedal like on a piano. He doesn't say "day" he says "da-a-a-a-y-y" so it takes just as long to say as the word "peculiar". It's incredible. You can't tell where a sentence ends and the next one begins or where a paragraph ends or begins. And there is no way you can follow an idea, thought or concept. It's clear the narrator has exactly zero familiarity with the content. It's like someone who has never taken a single chemistry or biology class were to narrate a medical textbook but who can pronounce with exactitude each and every word but has no idea which words ought to be emphasized, said more quickly or more slowly. The text-to-speech rendition of this book is far superior. You can actually hear the content and think about the concepts instead of hearing "to" take as long to pronounce as "corresponding". When the narrator says the phrase "three portals" the word "three" is inflected exactly like "portals". He clearly does not understand neither word should be dramatically inflected. "Thrrrreeee Poorrrrttttalls" is meaningless and annoyingly distracting. Ugh!

[My only criticism is with the performance and it is not Sheldrake's reading. His voice is superb.*] Read this if you want to emancipate yourself from your default indoctrination. We are all indoctrinated with scientism. It's not a sinister conspiracy, it's just the default. Follow Sheldrake's work to see how the world really works--scientifically and meta-scientifically. I cannot recommend this book highly enough. This is the foundation to understanding Sheldrake's work--all of which I endorse just as enthusiastically. *[My only criticism is the distracting voice narrations of quoted phrases. The worst voice of all for me as an American is the caricatured cattle baron from a British produced American Western film. I live in the Western U.S. I've lived in Houston, Texas and several other western states. NO ONE talks now or every has talked like the silly Western voice used in several of the quotes of this book. I imagine American entertainment producers make the same mistake in selecting Cockney or Scottish accents. I love Dr. Who, Red Dwarf and other British productions--except when they have an episode that includes time travel or dream sequences or whatever where the setting is a 19th Century town in the Western U.S. typically named "Dodge". Watch a Clint Eastwood Western. That's how people in the West spoke. Do not take your cues from the Red Dwarf episodes set in a Western town. No one ever has or ever did pronounce sheriff as "shar-eef".]

Full recommendations for any audience with a warning: Members have to get past the non-member narrator's mispronounciations which are nearly intolerable at times. The pronunciation of Zion as Z-eye-awn rather than Z-eye-n is the worst and in almost triggers skipping some chapters. Ensign is surprisingly allowed to be mispronounced as en-sun which has an entirely different meaning than en-sign--the correct pronunciation in the context of Mormonism. Hearing Parley pronounced as Par-lay grates on the ear. Other mispronounciations are equally grating such as variants of prophecy i.e. pro-fess-ee-ing instead of pro-feh-sigh-ing for prophesying. Non-members don't understand the importance of obtaining LDS-native pronunciations due to the high frequency of certain words in LDS conversations.

Members will also have to deal with the author attributing revelatory doctrine to Joseph Smith or other leaders which is not how active, believing LDS members view their history. For instance, LDS members would never say, " In Smith and Rigdon's afterlife everyone but the very worst get a place of glory". Section 76 is not considered the product of Joseoh Smith and Sydney Rigdon in any sense at all. Members take every word to be a conveyance from Divinity, not in any degree tinged with the ideas of the conveyors.

Perhaps Bushman was not allowed to emend a finished narration or he felt a purely non-member narrator's reading--including errors--would be perceived as "more authentic" by non-members and appeasing apologists. If the latter case, it is misguided pandering. The narrator was clearly given the correct pronunciations of Nephi, Lehi and other Book of Mormon names. He should have been provided with the correct pronunciations of Zion, prophesied, ensign, etc. His mispronounciation of Parley is so grating I almost wonder if the present day pronunciation is wrong and the narrator was provided with the odd sounding Pahr-lae.

Good to read to know what the useful idiots of the Regressive Left like these authors are thinking.

Claims Fox News is the first television network created
to promote the interest of one political party. Two problems: 1) Every other media organization has been the house organ of the Democratic party since 1960. 2) Those of us who voted for Trump did so despite his affiliation with the Democrat-lite party aka Republican party. Fox is center-right at best.

Thank goodness the lie factories of the Regressive Left are being opposed! What this Leftist lackey calls Lies Incorporated I call an overdue self-defensive action of the beleaguered victims of the actual Lies Incorporated machine of the trillion dollar Regressive Left.

RE: Performance: The reader pronounces fructose "fruhck-toas". Kid you not.
