Historia
Human beings are wired for connection. We long for deep relationships and real intimacy — both of which reflect our fundamental desire to be close to God. But all too often, whether because of our sin or our failures, we imagine that God prefers to keep his distance. In this book, Edward T. Welch shows us the purpose for which we were created: to be brought near to God as a kingdom of priests.

Yenomni’s story will inspire you make you cry and make you grateful for what you never will experienced. The reader of this book is dull, flat and unemotional, but the story will get you past that.

This short volume is well with your time. The stories it tells will encourage and strengthen your faith and resolve to pray for our brothers and sisters in these hard countries.
I was doubtful with the virtual voice, but it was surprisingly natural and easy to listen to. Not a distraction at all.

Historia
What will it take to accomplish Christ's mission in our lifetime? That's the question evangelicals have been asking for over a century, but our efforts to reach the unreached and finish the task have often sacrificed the important for the immediate. The greatest challenge in evangelical missions isn't a lack of urgency, but a lack of discernment. As we've prioritized movements that are simple and reproducible, the gospel and faithful churches are now threatened. In Mission Affirmed, Elliot Clark seeks to reshape our motivation by considering the example of Paul the missionary.

Excellent! Encouraging! Insightful!
Revisado: 01-11-24
Clark lays down a helpful critique of current mission models while unfolding the Apostle Paul’s greatest motivation—God’s commendation. If this were our motivation as well we would reconsider sacrificing everything else (I.e. Theology) for the sake of speed and efficiency in reaching the unreached.

The best, most helpful book I have ever read on prayer. This was not a “do better. Try harder” type of book. Paul is persuasive at changing your view of prayer. Best quote: “Until you see your helplessness you will never see your need for prayer”

Historia
On July 19, 1924, Eric Liddell was on top of the world. He was the most famous Briton at the time, having just won the gold in the Olympic 400-meter race. The story of that race - and the one he didn't run - was told in the popular movie classic Chariots of Fire. But what most of us don't know is what became of Eric Liddell in the years after the credits rolled. As the storm clouds of World War II rolled in, Liddell's strength of character led him to choose an uncertain future in China during World War II to continue helping the Chinese.

Historia
Janner, Tink, and Leeli Igiby, the Lost Jewels of Anniera, are hiding from Gnag the Nameless in the Green Hollows, one of the few places in the land of Aerwiar not overrun by the Fangs of Dang. But there's a big problem. Janner's little brother - heir to the throne of Anniera - has grown a tail. And gray fur. Not to mention two pointed ears and long, dangerous fangs. To the suspicious folk of the Green Hollows, he looks like a monster. But Janner knows better. His brother isn't as scary as he looks. He's perfectly harmless. Isn't he?
