Historia
The hunt is on - and there are only a million zombies standing in our way. Once more reunited after the successful attack on the slaver camp, Bree and Nate have a new goal in life: to hunt down the man responsible for turning hundreds of soldiers into mindless worker drones, and repeatedly drugging the arena fighters - Nate and Hamilton chiefly among them. This could turn out to be their most dangerous mission yet, and not even the support of old friends and new allies alike might be enough for them to succeed.

why bother with the couple?
Revisado: 04-25-25
I am finding these books getting worse and worse to listen to. I mean the couple aspect of this book is the worst! The misogyny all over this book is getting old fast. I think I rolled my eyes and tuned out more than I heard or even got. I have not found a single character in this book worth the listen. Honestly not impressed. This series was meh to begin with and should have ended before France IMO.

Historia
All Dr. Brianna Lewis wants is a cup of coffee. Coffee to make slaving away in her cell culture lab at Green Fields Biotech a little more bearable on a Friday afternoon when everyone is home already. What she doesn't count on is a group of terrorists blowing up all the entrances to the building and taking her and a select few others hostage. Bree soon finds herself conflicted. Not only does she know their charismatic leader, she also starts to suspect that there is a lot more to this than the hunt for an illegal bioweapon....

I do enjoy this series BUT….
Revisado: 04-12-25
But, sorry (not sorry) I am not a fan of the main characters at all. I cannot relate to them at all. Its the misogyny and condescending way they talk to the female lead that drives me insane. I would have loved this series more if they were not supposedly in love and a couple. I does have moments where they are not constantly fighting or she is not just “accepting” how she is talked down to, or treated like her injuries are the walk it off attitudes. You would think someone who “loves” his woman would at least act like it. But honestly thats about the only thing bad IMO about the series. If you can grit your teeth through those parts it's a different take on a Zombie series. Someone compared it to Mark Tufo’s series, and I can honestly say they are not as good as his or as funny, yet still pretty decent. I give them a 4 stars overall and the narrator is good too. But yeah how the lead male talk to his supposed love just annoys me!

Its pretty decent, predictable though and your typical happy ever after throughout. But its a feel good book if you need a break from something deeper

A spin of The Neverending story
Revisado: 12-08-23
IMO this was a spin of the Neverending story like novel. it was well done, but just felt "done before", predictable and drew so many similarities to be expectant. But all in all a good book, just not very original

I have no idea what I just listened to!
Revisado: 09-01-23
Ok so I spent 90% of the time baffled to what I was listening to, the last 2 hrs do explain things but not well. None of it seems plausible, possible or conceivable given the story line of the first two book. The first time I have ever thought "thank goodness its done" to a book, doubt I will continue with the series...this was series and especially this one was just Bizarre. Not my cup of tea. its certainly a one and done type book series.
sorry,
I am sure the author put a LOT of effort into this book/series, but it was just too crazy and lacking, especially with the here, then and jumping around. I get the point they were trying for, but it did not come across well to me.

Its a weird take on a story
Revisado: 08-27-23
This is a weird story, but also interesting too...but in my personal opinion this series is a one and done type book. I likely would never listen again.
I am actually not sure what I can say about this book, its a story about humans trying to find a new home, being sabotaged and finding "other" life that was not intended and what happens...in a nut shell.

Phoebe, the soulless child, has been raised by her adoptive father, Eric—the universe-hopping vampire wizard from the future. After all, who better to raise a soulless infant than an undead monster? He did his best to raise her right. He made certain she was well-educated. He picked a reasonably decent culture for her to grow up in. He trained her in her powers, taught her everything he could, and even broadened her horizons by touring other worlds, other times, other histories—and some futures!

Pretty good!
Revisado: 08-16-23
Well this is a pretty good book, I do not like how she see's her dad, and wonder why she does? I like the story, its funny and shows how a young woman grows into an adult, as many know its sometimes the 13 going on 30 scenario . Also do not like how uncle dusty talks about him too. It does show how he is really not liked by anyone, not his god or even his daughter, one min she loves/misses him the next she is afraid of him and what he does or can do and does not want to even talk to him. Somewhat confusing emotions.
The story is really good, the end parts are somewhat poorly done.

what a craptastic story
Revisado: 07-25-22
So where to begin.... ok so this is one of the most scattered apocalyptic stories I have listened to, and I listen to A LOT. I do not know what the writer thought he was doing but a good story was not it.
This book could not make up its mind if it was going to be anti government, anti Socialism (even though that's exactly what the society they created was lol smh), anti Muslim (like wtf what the point of them in this book), anti criminals, anti drugs (including antidepressants?? really ??), there was SO MUCH contradiction and hypocrisy it was laughable. The whole story had tons of missed points and opportunities...such as funny how anyone injured in this mans group never suffered anything more than a band aid would fix...even the gun wounds were easy to "fix". And in a country where everyone and their dog can have a gun, only your people had the "good stuff"?
Honestly first off you need to do better research into things like politics...like socialism...some how they apparently are hippie anti gun criminal loving folks?? LMAO Ok maybe look into Countries like Switzerland that has mandatory military service for its socialist citizens for one thing...Or how about guns...there are a lot of people with guns in the USA, you don't think the criminals would know how to find and use them but some fat dude would? LOL And somehow 7 years into this, gas vehicles are driving and planes flying...do you even understand fuel??
No seriously, really crappy stories and I think the 4th book was written hastily and filled with pointless additions that were very left field. how this book got such good ratings I have no idea...
