Historia
An extraordinary debut novel of love that survives the fires of hell and transcends the boundaries of time. The narrator of The Gargoyle is a very contemporary cynic, physically beautiful and sexually adept, who dwells in the moral vacuum that is modern life. As the book opens, he is driving along a dark road when he is distracted by what seems to be a flight of arrows.

A different book for me
Revisado: 07-15-24
This book started off very good and vividly described. The descriptive text tapered off throughout the book, but nonetheless it did not affect the book. Many stories to hear about and overall, this was a long audio book which I really did enjoy in the end.

Flip Out
Revisado: 02-21-24
I practice a lot of what the author mentions regarding flipping your thinking. Doing it really works and you'll be more at peace and centered. I love that the author narrated his own book and appreciated all the stories. A great read I highly recommend!

I couldn't stop listening!
Revisado: 10-16-23
I was captivated from the beginning. What a well written and wonderfully narrated story. I loved how it tied current events and was true to accuracy from the standpoint of a P.I. and the police.
Just when you think you have a feel for what's going on, you're surprised with something new. The accuracy of the depth of the disturbing nature of people has been done extremely well, I can say this from a professional standpoint.
Well done by the entire team!

Historia
From his rapid-fire stand-up comedy riffs to his breakout role in Mork & Mindy and his Academy Award-winning performance in Good Will Hunting, Robin Williams was a singularly innovative and beloved entertainer. He often came across as a man possessed, holding forth on culture and politics while mixing in personal revelations - all with mercurial, tongue-twisting intensity as he inhabited and shed one character after another with lightning speed. But as Dave Itzkoff shows in this revelatory biography, Williams’ comic brilliance masked a deep well of conflicting emotions and self-doubt.

Historia
Talking about death and dying is considered taboo in polite company, and even in the medical field. Our ideas about dying are confusing at best: Will our memories flash before our eyes? Regrets consume our thoughts? Does a bright light appear at the end of a tunnel? For most people, it will be a slower process, one eased with preparedness, good humor, and a bit of faith. At the forefront of changing attitudes around palliative care is hospice nurse Hadley Vlahos, who shows that end-of-life care can teach us just as much about how to live as it does about how we die.

Great book and perfect audio for leaders!
Revisado: 10-11-22
Excellent audio on this book. This title is for those who aspire to be leaders and it contained a lot of great leadership information. Being a supervisor is one thing, but not all supervisors are leaders. This book is for those who care to lead, care about who the are leading and do it for the greater good of the company or organization.
