Her body was found the next night, dumped among a dense thicket of trees along the edge of an urban park, eight miles east of St. Paul, Minnesota. Despite her twin sister Lara Grandfelt’s persistent calls to the Bureau of Criminal Apprehension, the killer was never found.

It all had the feeling it was an imitation of his other novels. Found myself rooting for the killer.

It should be identified as a soap opera instead of a novel. Very disappointed. Wish I didn’t waste one of my credits on this junk.

Endless chatter was half the book. I wouldn’t trust one single character. For a couple in love, there is no trust. The best character was the disbarred lawyer. The plot of this story could be told in 52 pages. I wasted my time !

Historia
Widowed van driver Bob Naylor is prodded into joining the Chichester Writers' Circle by his teenage daughter. Bob writes limericks and jingles, and fears he will be out of his class amongst the literati. But the members of the circle come from all walks of life and practice many forms of writing, from fantasy to household hints. There seems to be nothing about any of them to incite a serial killer. However, there is an arsonist in their midst, burning his victims to death, and Bob becomes a suspect.

Narrator is poor

It was hard to listen to the entire book. Authors should pay more to who narrates their books. It makes a huge difference in the enjoyment of the story.

Each author kept repeating the same information. Each chapter repeats : being forced from the police department, his wife dumping him and how he misses his daughter. Much longer than it needed to be.
