Historia
In the heart of the South Pacific lies Point Nemo, the most desolate and remote place on Earth. At its core is a dead zone, devoid of life, where government agencies crash their obsolete satellites and space stations, confident they won't harm a soul. When the International Space Station suffers a catastrophic failure and plummets through the atmosphere, it's here that Mission Specialist Julie Rohr, an astrobiologist studying living space dust called xylem, finds herself marooned. Julie's only hope for rescue lies in the hands of her estranged father, Dr. Finn Maddern, a renowned mycologist.

Historia
Dreaming is one of the most underappreciated functions of the human brain, yet our very survival as a species depends on it. In This Is Why You Dream, dual-trained neuroscientist and neurosurgeon Dr. Rahul Jandial explores the landscape of our subconscious, tracing the latest cutting-edge dream research and brain science to show why humans have retained the ability to dream across millennia, and how we can now harness its wondrous powers to improve our sleeping and waking lives.

The how and why of your dreams revealed
Revisado: 06-16-24
Over 50 years ago my mother and I learned how to interpret our own dreams, and the dreams of others we knew intimately. This book dovetails perfectly with what we learned about ourselves and what our dreams were attempting to communicate to us. What this book revealed to me is how and why. I do wish my mother, my teacher, was still alive to gain the insights presented in this book. Highly recommended.

Implausible but a good story
Revisado: 12-21-22
As ridiculous a premise as this story is, I still enjoyed it. Humanoid plants are a little too hard to believe. R.C. Bray is my favorite narrator by far, he gets as much credit as the writers for an entertaining story.

Historia
A secret buried in the Antarctic. A puzzle unsolved for thousands of years. And a Brooklyn-born master gunnery sergeant who's royally pissed that he has to babysit the researchers sent to figure it all out. But when Patrick "Wic" Finnegan finally sees what the team has uncovered, he can't believe his eyes, nor is he prepared for the violence to come. Soon, the portal opens and unleashes a storm of unbridled fury upon humanity.

As with all his work, R.C. Bray is a great narrator. This story was really implausible in so many ways, it was pretty silly, that said, it was still somewhat entertaining as long as I wasn't too critical and just let some of that go.

Historia
Dan Delgado is a private investigator. When it comes to finding cheating spouses, corporate thieves, or runaway teenagers, he’s unenthusiastic, and unmatched. As a former San Francisco detective, he misses more meaningful work, but he hasn’t had the heart for it since his wife’s death five years prior. That is, until a phone call from a distraught mother, an illegal immigrant who can’t go to the police, puts him on the hunt for a missing little girl. By the time he reaches the mother’s small home, she’s missing, too. The circumstances are strange....

Historia
My name is Kazimir Wolfe. People call me "Kaz", except they don’t. I never use my real name; it’s too dangerous, for me and for anyone I meet. I’m on the run from the law, who think I killed my aunt, and from whoever did kill her, because they want to finish the job. So, I move around a lot, working construction or whatever job I can find. It’s a lonely life. I don’t let anyone get close...people who get close to me end up dead. Why? I’m a wizard. The world’s only wizard, as far as I know.

Meh
Revisado: 11-10-22
R.C. Bray is a great narrator, but you probably knew that. This story was meh. As I am a huge fan of Craig Alanson's Expeditionary Force series, and at the end of Book 14 was asked to give this Audio book a try, I figured it would be nice to throw Craig and R.C. a bone and give something different a try. But so many loose ends and under developed parts of the story made it rather a disappointment. After virtually every Exforce book being pure 5 stars, maybe I expected too much.

Historia
After the Renegade mission by the crew of the starship Flying Dutchman, the UN Expeditionary Force thought Earth was safe for hundreds of years, at least. After there was trouble on the home front and the president had to authorize a nuclear strike on an American city, UNEF decided they did need the Merry Band of Pirates again. So, the Flying Dutchman is sent out on a simple recon mission. But for the pirates, nothing is ever simple, and their mission will become Armageddon.
