Phenomenal narrator, and great prose carrying the story along. Characters are unique and consistent to their personalities. Great balance of humor with serious moments.

I find it hard to go on, so I'm electing to stay behind with the wonderful series of "Ruins" stories written to date by Hopper and Chaney. Just the right amount of humor and well-constructed military sci-fi. R.C. Bray as narrator was and is perfection for this series of books. What stops me is dealing with several life-death climaxes in one book -- not only for humanity, but for the characters as well. I need to chill. I really had a hard time following the storyline.

'Ruins of the Earth Book 3' proves that things can ... nah, I'm not telling. So, here we are at Book 3, Phantom Deadfall, the latest series from the excellent minds of writers Christopher Hopper and J.N. Chaney. The battle continues, and the stakes are even higher because now we are fighting them on home turf. The team is together and ready to kick some aliens' a... it will be a difficult task, especially since the invaders are really PO'd!
I hope you've read the first two books. Otherwise, it'll be like taking a bath with your clothes on. You'll hate it and feel really stupid. Catch up, 'cause there's a lot happening in Phantom Deadfall. Once again, R.C. Bray brings his unique storytelling talent that brings each character to life. -Mr.Bill

Amazing story and author! RC Bray is the absolute best at bringing to life characters in any story, but he makes me laugh till I cry when he does Russian accented characters! Can’t wait till the next one!
